2.5 years and less 80lbs later....I had my surgery 3/16/17. I wrote an earlier review of the actual surgery experience itself which was wonderful (BeLite and the doctors/hospital staff). But the experience since then has been even better. What a difference it has made in my life!!! I cannot stress how much better I feel. Physically and emotionally. What it's like to go shopping and know that most things will fit rather than the other way around. I now leave the house feeling like I look great and younger than my age. and definitely not like a grandma (which I am). I have more energy and self confidence. I have developed new interests and hobbies that I would never have pursued before. I love kickboxing, barre fitness, salsa dance lessons, dog obedience training... I bought a bike and I walk my dog at least 3 miles a day in good weather. My cholesterol, sugar and blood pressure are all much improved! I will say, however, to those of you who read reviews about people who gain all the weight back.... even though I lost 80lbs and most of it came off from the surgery itself, it does take constant monitoring and you still have to make good food choices. So, if it's hard for you now, it will be easier but you still have to take the time to develop good eating habits. I do have to police my diet and exercise is imperative (if you are physically able) not only for weight loss but toning that "extra" skin you'll have. Some of it won't go away but it hides well under clothes. And there are surgical options for that if you want it. The good news is that, after surgery, if you get off track with your diet and then reign it in, the weight will come off. whereas before it didn't, no matter what I did. So, if you are on the fence about surgery, mexico, etc... don't be. Every surgery carries risk and you are right to be concerned. but I think that it's minimal with these doctors. Just know that there is a better, happier, healthier life waiting for you. Hands down best decision I've ever made for myself. Don't wait any longer! You deserve it!

Experience was great. Make sure when receiving emails that you double check or even triple check that you receive them all. I received all emails except one where it went who knows but I didn’t stress cause due to having a great facilitator and doctor explaining everything I needed to know .I knew what to expect and if I didn’t I reached out to Jessica who knew exactly what I needed to do! Overall, I’m glad I did it. The experience and the help along the way and the following up with us was a plus.

Ashley, I'm so surprised you didn't get the post op diet, or the surgery confirmation that said to make sure you have the diet and the checklist that also said to make sure you have it that were sent by your facilitator on April 1st. I did see the server history and all these were sent out to you. Your post op diet was sent and it does walk you through the post op phases week by week. Please contact your facilitator and have her send it to you again.

I had a revision from sleeve to gastric bypass on July 2nd with Dr. Rod! Jamie with BeLiteWeight was so extremely helpful and so timely with everything I asked! Even right down to me fixing to board my plane to ElPaso where I had a freak out moment! Jamie was there in an instant to calm my nerves!!!! The taxi ride was nice and the driver was so informative about the area and places my husband should try out for food! The hospital was above and beyond expectations and security is kept pretty tight to keep patients safe. Not all the staff spoke English but it was still surprisingly simple to communicate with them! They were very prompt with anything asked of them and with medications afterwards! I was in pain the day of the surgery and sore for the days after but like I said they were there to help keep me comfortable! The view from my room was breath taking and I soaked it in every day as much as I could! I even asked for my medical records the day I was leaving and they had no issues with giving me what they had! Definitely 5 star experience! Thanks Jamie, BeLiteWeight and Dr. Rod and staff!
