Asked the financial advisor for references to reputable CPAs, they sent me one from a firm that hasn't existed for several years, then ghosted me.

BECU has started treating their members like numbers just like any other commercial banking company. I've had issues with the mortgage portion in the past, but now I had a problem with my checking. In past years if I over drew my account by a few dollars, BECU would cover the check and send me a message. Last month this happened and they denied it, costing me $40 in fees at our local utility company. Before you judge me, I have over $200,000 in deposit (TMI) in other accounts here, so its not like I'm flaking out on them; it was an adding error. Ultimately, this is proof that we as BECU members don't have a personal relationship with our local banker (my local Key Bank has done better in this regard). This used to be a much better bank, but I think they do not appreciate my money on deposit and I know I could easily get higher interest rates elsewhere if I don't have expectation of a more personal experience!

Who do you have as your credit union? Why do you like them? I am growing increasingly disgusted with BECU. The local mini branches like the one in Burien send me to the big center in Tukwila. I wait on a long line only to be told after the teller checks with his supervisor ( that alone took 10 minutes!) that they don’t have information on my mortgage and tells me to call the number in NJ. !! This is not how I envisioned spending my Saturday- a total waste of time!

It USED to be good... then they 'offshored' telephone support and it is BEYOND HORRIBLE. The "agents" have HORRIBLE ENGLISH and are difficult to understand. THEY ARE ALSO HIGHLY UNCOOPERATIVE! While I do appreciate their fraud protection, IT TOO IS BEYOND ABSURD. They will CANCEL your card if a 'fraudulent' charge is detected. If you're lucky, you'll get a phone call, OTHERWISE, YOU WON'T FIND OUT UNTIL YOU TRY TO USE THE CARD AND IT'S DECLINED! Whether you call them, or they call you, the agent starts blabbering off charges from your statement. If you don't recognize the charge, instead of blocking that vendor, THEY IMMEDIATELY CANCEL YOUR CARD. As a result, I've been through FIVE CREDIT CARD NUMBERS IN THE PAST TWO YEARS, which makes it a big pain if you are using it to pay for subscriptions! To add insult to injury, THEY WILL NOT RUSH SHIP A REPLACEMENT CARD, SO YOU ARE AWAY FROM HOME, YOU ARE SCREWED FOR SEVERAL WEEKS UNTIL YOUR CARD SHOWS UP THEY DID THIS TO ME WHILE I WAS ON VACATION, I told them: "I am on vacation and have no way to verify this until I get home... I STILL NEED TO USE THIS CARD TO PAY FOR VACATION EXPENSES. PLEASE BLOCK THAT SUSPICIOUS CHARGE WITHOUT CANCELING MY CARD, and I will confirm the charge when I get home." The automaton on the other end told me: "We can't do that, YOUR ACCOUNT WILL BE BLOCKED UNTIL YOU CONFIRM THIS CHARGE", so either way, YOU WON'T HAVE ACCESS TO YOUR ACCOUNT! When I asked if they could do an emergency card issue (as many good card companies do). They will say that "WE CAN NOT DO THAT. YOU WILL RECEIVE YOUR NEW CARD IN 2 WEEKS." THEY DON'T GIVE A DAMN THAT THEY'VE LEFT YOU STRANDED IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE! I have SEVERAL other credit cards, and NONE of them have pulled this crap. I think that I've had TWO that actually canceled a card due to a fraudulent charge. IT HAS GOTTEN TO THE POINT WHERE I CAN NOT TRUST BECU WHEN I AM TRAVELING BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO BE STRANDED!! ONE OTHER PROBLEM: There is NO WAY to make a payment to a BECU Credit Card from ANY OTHER FINANCIAL INSTITUTION, so if have other accounts, YOU HAVE TO DEPOSIT THE MONEY INTO YOUR BECU CHECKING ACCOUNT BEFORE YOU CAN PAY YOUR CREDIT CARD BILL!

I have an auto loan with this credit union and their online system is terrible. It is actually really hard to make a payment or transfer money to your accounts. What a crazy system that makes it hard to get your money into their bank. I've worked with a handful of different banking options and this is by far the worst. Not even close.

Again tried to get into my account to pay bills. Cookies blocked. BECU told me to remove them. I Didn't put them in the first placed. Your BECU ee did. This has happened before and I am getting tired of it. Called their 800 number the ee told me she couldn't do anything.

Cant pay auto loan have to use a BECU members savings account with them to pay it. Cant pay with external accounts. I'm gonna pay my loan off somehow just to get away from this nightmare of a loan/bank please don't get a loan with them

Banking deposits via mobile dont work. You recieve an error message. I have been trying for 2 months. Used to work great. What is happening and why dont they fix it? I now have trust issues.
