They delayed my payment transfers by 9 day, resulting in repossession
They delayed a payment transfer which resulted in my car getting repossessed. I was late on two payments and transferred the late payment funds, plus the current payment on the 19th. Both transfers did not go through until the 27th. They state that their transfers take one to two business days. It should have gotten there much sooner. When I talked to someone on that Monday, she said “actually it could take a week”. That was not stated anywhere I could find. But as far as I knew, everything was fine on their end. When it did go through, I wasn’t able to make the payment because they froze the account without telling me. So, the money was there and I wasn’t able to pay. I planned on calling them that Thursday to figure it out, but that was the day they repossessed my car. I had no warning of this when I spoke to them earlier that week. There are some serious communication issues between departments and they will not work with you when you’re trying to clear things up. They demanded the full $14,000 loan payment at once or I don’t get my car back. They knew I had a rental, but I kept having to wait 1 to 2 business days before even getting a response to an inquiry. This has costed me $450 in car rental fees and $324 to get my car from the impound lot. This is absolutely a terrible company. There are, of course, very nice people that work there and this is not a slight to them, but there were some that I talked to that were incredibly condescending and rude and patronizing, which resulted in me losing my temper as well. I just wanted some clear answers, and I kept getting the runaround and told I have to wait days for them to call me back. They have no patience or leeway for people that went through a temporary financial strain. I tried to fix the situation, and I wasn’t that far behind. They told me my last payment was August 30 and this all went down the end of September. That is not worth losing your vehicle and half a paycheck, just to have a vehicle while you’re trying to get yours back.
