If I could give them a MINUS number I would! They were provided insurance at inception of loan. I get a notice they need evidence of Insurance again. I upload to their site as instructed. Again, they are asking for it. Uploaded a 3rd time. they say it takes 3-5 business days to review. All the while it's now been over two months and my account shows I still owe for their forced place insurance. I told them I'm not hanging up until you can confirm this is resolved. They want to send you back to their site, I said absolutely not! The system is broken! If I ever need an auto loan again I will NOT be using them. HORRIBLE!! Sitting on hold as I write this.. says it's now resolved after they agreed to call my agent directly. Now I have to be forwarded to someone else to handle the Auto Payment portion. Fortunately this lady speaks English and I can understand! Since Dec. I have probably spent 2-3 hours working on this. If I could bill them for my time I would! NOW, she says it takes 2 weeks for it to show in the system so I'll need to follow up in 2 weeks if I don't hear anything in the interim. I will never use BECU for another service. PERIOD!

I tried to set up an account with BECU. After setting up account, I was unable to deposit money into my account. After requesting help, the teller said I could not make deposits into my account because I was not authorized to make deposits. They could not tell me how to make deposits after two calls to customer service. After I complained about poor service and my inability to make deposits, my account was suspended, and your company said they suspected fraud? They closed my account and implied I was using my account for fraudulent activities. Someone who doesn't understand BECU's policy's is automatically suspected of fraud by BECU? I'm totally disgusted by the way BECU treats its customers. I'm 69 years old and never been arrested once in my life, but to BECU, I'm treated like a criminal before I could make a deposit. This shameful treatment of customers needs to be elevated and visible, so potential customers know they may face being mistreated by BECU.

Worst experience. No communication. It takes like 1000 attempts to get a single help. My car got towed because of the communication gap. They don't pick up calls. Offices close earlier than the official time. BECU employees themselves can't connect with other departments. I had to reschedule my international flight just to get one document from them because the portfolio team left early on Friday and would only be in on Tuesday due to it being off for MLK Day. And they wouldn't give the document to my friend even when I had a POA. And being totally honest, I have been trying this for three days, not like I just came on the last day, Friday. It totally sucks.

I don’t recommend BECU. I’ve used them for personal and business banking and generally find them very hard to work with. For example, I recently applied for a home improvement personal loan with them. I played phone tag for almost 2 weeks and was completely unable to get ahold of the loan processor. I have no idea what they wanted or needed - maybe email would have been easier? They ended up denying my loan request because the application was “incomplete.” We ended up using Tesla’s partners to finance our solar anyway. Really terrible experience overall with BECU.

I asked for an IRA that would not be taxed because the money was post tax dollars. They gave me one that now will cause me to have to pay 20% when I withdraw it.

I use the credit card from BECU. I had fraud charges on my account that I was late to notice because of that they will not refund any of the fraud money close to 5K in loss.

It's the 14th of October and BECU cannot produce my September statement. How can they stay in business when they can't get the basics right? They didn't email me of the problem, nor did they apologize online until I recommended it on Facebook. I'm moving to Chase

I have been with BECU for 20 years and have recently moved my $ to a different credit union. Horrible CD rates compared to other CUs in the state. For at least 2 years now they have had off/on spoofing issues which has gotten so bad I had to block BECUs main phone number as I was getting 10+ spoofing calls a day. Pretty pathetic when you have to block your credit unions number. They are aware of the issue but can't seem to get a handle on it. The new CEO is all about DEI and is making this credit union nauseatingly woke. To top it off, annually they close on Columbus Day to have an employee rah-rah session (they call it a give back to the community day). Employees and many guest speakers are flown in and put up in expensive hotels. I shudder to think how much money is blown on food, speaker fees, hotels, airlines, rental cars/shuttles, swag, and overall entertainment for 3000 EMPLOYEES! Members need to know how much...afterall..BECU is MEMBER OWNED.
