Beast & Buckle products work great for my dogs! They fit perfectly: no chafing, no rubbing, and I’ve been able to safely train them not to pull. Plus, my vet loves them too!

The customer service is fantastic, I ordered a harness on a Saturday (Memorial weekend) and as soon as I sent the order through I realized my phone autofilled my old address in RI, after a quick panic attack, I called the customer service # & sent an email figuring that it was a holiday weekend and I wouldn’t hear from anyone until Tuesday & to my surprise the OWNER of the company called me back within 15 minutes, he also suggested that I switch to a small. After hanging up, he also responded to my email confirming everything. The harness came in today and my girl loves it and it fit perfectly!!!

This may sound a little silly… but the beast and buckle harness even works for my cat. We decided to get matching harnesses for our 2 cats and our mixed breed dog. The harnesses were easy to use and we are enjoying the matching family photos. I often recommend this brand to people we meet at the dog park that have small dogs. We hike a bit with our dog and she wrestles a lot at the dog park. So far no damage to any of these harnesses. Plus it is cool that they donate to charity even though this is a small business. Seems like the owner really loves dogs.

Excellent Harness - My Dog Loves It! I recently purchased a harness from Beast and Buckle for my 40-pound dog, and I couldn't be happier with this purchase! The design is fantastic, and what really stands out is how extremely adjustable it is. I was able to get the perfect fit for my pup, which made all the difference. My dog seems so much more comfortable and happy wearing this harness compared to our previous one. We love beast and buckle!! My frenchie used to pull so much and it was impossible to walk him, but the no pull harness literally saved my sanity. Tons of great designs and fits perfectly. Great customer service too!

The beast and buckle harness I purchased for my dog is ill fitting regardless of how many times I adjust the straps. The harness is either too loose around the neck, or my pug is able to wriggle her way out of the harness with ease. Today I discovered that my pug now has a scab on each armpit because of the chafing from the harness/buckles and how they irritate her poor skin. I was outside of my return/exchange window, and although the support team at Beast and Buckle offered to let me exchange this product for another harness, the person I spoke to on the phone about this matter went on rambling about how the various physiological traits of pugs and their shapes and sizes is truly the issue I’m having. WHATEVER! If I am dissatisfied with a product and it is causing my pet distress, I deserve a refund! I would’ve gladly given them back their harness as well, but working with someone who on the phone who refuses to stop rambling on and on, put me over the edge.

Hi Valerie, This is Stew, the person you talked to on the phone, and I'm sorry that the harness you bought may not have been the right fit for your pug. As you mentioned in your review, I offered to make an exception well outside of the return window and take your harness back in exchange for other products (a different type of harness, leashes, poop bag holders...whatever you preferred). I also tried to figure out what was going on with the original harness you bought so that I could determine what would be the best choice. During our conversation, I asked a number of questions and tried to explain things as much as possible so that you had any information you needed – this is what most customers want. There were a number of different things you mentioned to us that needed to be addressed, and I was just trying to help with the situation. The issue is not simply the various shapes and sizes that pugs come in – we have plenty of happy pugs wearing both of the harness types we offer – but that can affect whether one particular harness might work better than another. I was trying to help figure that out for you. During the brief time that we were on the phone, I was able to assess that your dog either needed a different size or the adjustments on your harness needed to be fixed, as it was noticeably too loose, which is why the harness was moving around on your dog's body and shifting upward into the armpits. You also mentioned that the issues you were concerned about were only occurring when one person from your household walked your pug, but you hung up while I was trying to talk through that part and ask more questions. I apologize for trying to talk through things and explain various details, but it was only in the interest of helping you and your pug. If I didn't care, I would never have reached out and offered to help with your harness and offer an exchange well outside of the return window. If you'd still like assistance, I'm still here to help, but if your harness is still too big, please stop using it.
