Marking-up cheap commercial beans

I signed up for a promotion when I bought my Sage machine and have been ordering beans through Beanz for about 18 months. Over the past 6-8 months they started sending smaller bags of beans for the same price which I complained about but the basically replied there's no guarantee on size. More recently, my order was processed for the same usual amount and to my surprise I was sent two bags of the UK version of Starbucks beans: cheap, commercial beans that you buy in a store on the same shelf with Nespresso pods. In store the bags are much cheaper and since you have no choice in what beans the subscription sends you, they are effectively marking-up cheap beans and reselling them for a profit while marketing themselves as selling beans from "craft roasters." I complained and they instantly refunded me for those two bags; however, my next order was exactly the same brand of beans. The "specialty" Grind beans they sent me and charged £8.50 per bag for are available for £4.50 at Tesco. I switched to another local coffee subscription and I strongly recommend everyone avoid Beanz; it's not worth the cashback promo or the hassle.

Cashback, no chance
I bought a Sage coffee machine from John Lewis on the promise that I'd get up to £600 cashback through a Beanz promotion. I have registered accounts and am showing on the Sage Dashboard but getting my bank account details accepted is impossible. Sage (although it's their machine and website and machine) say it's up to Beanz. Going round in circles.

Beanz cashback promotion
Beanz cashback promotion: Never received my $50 virtual Visa card. Called several times to customer service-they did not help. Cancelled my Beanz subscription and wrote notes why I cancelled-noi response. Terrible customer service, false advertising, no response to multiple inquiries.

Only received half my order and no reply from company after having a ticket open for over 3 weeks. Go direct to the businesses instead

Awful customer service
Awful customer service. Delays in sending beans not acted upon and promo offer not applied on technicality despite spending considerable amounts on a machine and coffee. The coffee from their roasters was good so a shame their service was so poor. You're better off buying direct from the roasters.

Dismal
After setting up my new Breville I set up Beanz subscription, attracted to the simplicity, expediency, reliability and association with the quality Breville brand. Breville-quality it is NOT. One week and two days after placing my first order and order is still “processing”. Attempted to reach Beanz to inquire and was directed to open a case. Now on day 3 awaiting reply to that case. Not convenient, not simple, not expedient, not reliable…not Breville-quality. Will be cancelling.

Still waiting on my cash back from a…
Still waiting on my cash back from a claim submitted in August despite being told it had been processed. Absolute scam. Will report to trading standards as this is clearly false advertising!
