Perfect...a lot less printing and very light

My whole plate carrier weighs less than 13lbs now. That's with all the pouches, spare mag, tourniquet.... It's lighter than my everyday patrol setup. I can't testify to it's ability to stop bullets, somebody else can be that guinea pig, but my spine is loving it.

Sent the wrong product. I ordered (and paid for) a level 3 hard plate and was sent level 3a soft armor. Update. 7/24/2022 I returned the incorrect item and they just sent it (or another lever 3a soft armor) back to me. Now I have to spend more gas money on driving across town to return the incorrect item they sent me AGAIN. I’m done with this company. Just requested a refund. Not sure how they stay in business. Do yourself a favor and order somewhere else. Look at there response to my original posting. Nothing to do with sending the wrong item. Extremely bad customer service. Yes, all the bad customer horror stories you’ve heard about Botach and now Battle Steel are correct.

The set up I selected, was Two level 3+ curved plates (11x14). I'm a wide guy, with big shoulders, and not fat anywhere except the gut. I am not fat all over, but I look like Im about to deliver twins (50 waist). The 11x14 cover most of my frame side to side, and top to bottom. I have tried 10x12 and they look like a postage stamp on me. So if you are a wide body, these will make you feel more comfortable. I bought the Battle Steel carrier, and had to take the cumberbun off, the carrier fits well, but w no cumber bun, = no side plates. I put the whole package together, and was shocked how light the 2 plates and carrier are. If I had a complaint, it would be the shipping time, but I believe timing was the problem. I ordered right after the moron in Buffalo and read about him in armor. I believe many others did the same.

Shield arrived in excellent condition and was a higher quality than I expected. I am very happy with my purchase.
