Ordered a couple of items from basspro.ca. Was promised that if I order in the next 4 hours, I will pick them up the same day. THE SAME DAY. Both items in stock. Two days later I received an email that one of the items is not available. Now, after two weeks from the order, still haven’t received anything regarding the second item. The American companies conducting their business in Canada are completely untrustworthy. This was my last “purchase” from Cabelas/BassPro.

I bought a used 22 sig sauer mosquito from Bass Pro Shop in Tampa, i thought it was a good purchase until i took it to the range and it wouldnt cycle the caliber after the 3rd round, i called them to see what they can offer me and they said that they buy pistols but dont fired them, so i can sell them a pistol with no cosmetic damage and have internal damage like the pistol i bought, so they said that they couldnt do anything for me. Never again will i ever purchase anything from them again, they have poor common sense on buying pistols from people, any firearms should be tested before reselling it back to the public. So for anyonr looking to buy a used pistol, do not buy from Bass Pro Shop. They are terrible

I revently purchased a boat, trailer and engine package from Bass Pro Shop 1542 Tracker boat. Crappy workmanship and materials. The fenders on the trailer are coming off. The wiring for the trailer is garbage and the trailer lights aren’t water proof. The 25 hp Mercury engine is so far so good but I’m sure something is going to give. The welds on the rear part of the boat have separated. I’m going to take it back for the warranty. Let’s see how that goes. They’ll probably come up some excuse not to honor it. Lastly, the design of the drain hole sucks. It’s too damn high. Never again will I buy junk from that company. No wonder they brag about a “no haggle price.”

I ordered a compound bow from bass pro shop, it’s a bear adapt 2, ready to hunt. After sending the sixth arrow through it, the string snapped and bruised my forearm and drew blood. Now they are sending me a new bow since I am within the 60 day window… but, however, I am weary to shoot it given what just happened.

I ordered a pair of muckboots in a size 6. am a size 6.5, but so many reviews on this site and on muckboot site said they ran really large. They are so small, I can barely get them on my feet. I want to return them because they do not have a size 7 available. Then I am told it will cost $7.50 for a return fee. Nowhere was this disclosed in their return policy or before purchase. I would not have purchased them if that were the case. Businesses have started shifting that cost onto customers, which is ridiculous and unacceptable. If they want to reach a wider customer/purchase base, then they will need to shoulder the cost of opening more locations or the cost of running an online store. I disputed this fee and essentially they told me I could drive an hour to a store to return them. I am disabled and unable to make that hour drive. Not only will I not ever purchase from Bass Pro Shop or any affiliated store such as Cabela's again, but I will just go back to purchasing only from local on site stores. Because I live in a somewhat rural location, that is limited... but, what I cannot find in store is not something I need. This whole switching to online (e-commerce) shopping has been a bait and switch where they shift the costs onto customers. They lured us in with 'convenience', while they unload the cost of paying for items up front and having them on hand, take orders to ship from manufacturer, make it incredibly difficult to return/exchange items, shift the cost of shipping onto customers as well, and we have to deal with all of the labor or unpacking and discarding of shipping materials as well. What service are they actually providing any longer other than a very literal 'middle man' or toll charge?
