Okay, it's not exactly rocket science to see that the company gets some bad reviews. I've seen a bunch from a few years ago that appeared to mainly relate to slow fulfilment and shipping and poor customer service. I'm seeing similar reasons for bad reviews here unfortunately, just nowhere near as many as I was seeing. So, I guess they are slowly getting a handle on this but it really shouldn't be a thing. And the cut and paste responses to those bad reviews is a really bad idea Barton. Not very personal. Anyway, my dealings with them. The website is really funky, so pay attention when ordering as it tends to pre-populate your order, particularly if you are ordering multiple items. It did this to me, it pre-populated a strap size that I didn't notice so I got the wrong size. I kept it anyway as a spare and now I pay very close attention when I order. I also keep getting direct e-mails with discount codes sent to me but when I attempt to enter them they don't work. Which is annoying. I did e-mail Barton about this and got no response. Which is very poor. I was also under the impression that if you signed up to the website then it resulted in free shipping but again, that function is not working for me. So, like I said, the website is funky, pay attention. The watch straps, bands, whatever you want to call them, are pretty good. That's the good news, right? I buy the one-piece nylon NATO straps and I'm happy with the end product completely. Just not so much with the journey to get there. If they sort those issues out they really would be top notch with a glowing review page instead of what they actually have. Bottom line is, I will still buy from them as long as things continue at least how they are. I recommend the product itself to you, less so the service or the website.

I purchased a watch band from Barton 4 weeks ago, including shipping protection the tracking information provided by Barton referred me to UPS. UPS indicated the item in question was to be delivered by Australia Post and provided a second tracking number which Australia post know nothing about. I sent two emails to Barton customer service seeking clarification and received no reply. All that aside the watch band has now turned up and is as described. A realistic indication of likely delivery times and better communication would have resulted in a 5 star review even with a 4+ week wait for delivery

Strap arrived today, around 10 days shipping to the UK, not too bad. Disappointed with the strap, feels like synthetic leather, despite stating genuine leather on the inside of the strap, does not smell like leather. Buckle feels cheap, it stated stainless steel, it looks like chrome plated. Strap is not very long. Quick fix strap pins are very thin, this concerns me as its for an expensive watch. Suspect it will not last very long.

Have not received my order. Order #87483982 My order took ages so Barton refunded me for the strap and it arrived a couple weeks after. Nice looking strap. I originally wanted it for my Casio GWG 1000 but when the strap took longer to arrive than expected I got a black GWG 1000 strap to replace my green one and it fits perfectly so I’ve yet to try on the Barton strap. Thanks for the refund.

Ordered a month ago, still waiting for the item. EDIT: Item eventually arrived, but the time it took is ridiculous.

I ordered a replacement watch band. It wasn't clear what currency the site was in so I ended up paying a lot more than I intended for the watch band, I thought it was an Australian micro site because of the link I took to get to it. I was charged in USD so it ended up being quite expensive. As soon as I completed the order the spam emails started, sooooo many of them. It is really annoying and they don't make it clear on the subscriber options to only receive order updates, so if I unsubscribe will I still get notifications on my order? How can I share how great my life is now with a Barton watch band if I don't even have the product yet? Honestly you'd think they were curing cancer or something the way they bang on about how great your life is going to be if you had one of their products. Still waiting on the watch band for three weeks now, better be perfect when it gets here.

I received a watch band that appeared to be very nice quality but was too small so I left a message at their office (based on their website encouraging me to do so). After a week or so I had heard nothing so I sent them an email just before writing a negative review here, which was copied to them. Whether or not it was prompted by the negative review, they did get back to me today and they were certainly sincere in wanting to help. Unfortunately, the trans-border logistics make it impractical to return anything from Canada and the selection of Barton watch bands on Amazon.ca (which they recommended) is very poor. If I was Barton, I would not offer to sell directly to Canadian customers. If you're in Canada, you're probably best to go to a watch shop in person or see what you can get from an online distributor who ships from Canada. I would have liked to reward Barton's efforts today by purchasing from a Canadian Barton distributor but ended up having to buy another brand of watch band. If I lived in the USA, this would have been easy and I would have been a happy Barton customer. I bought a watch tool and a watch case from them, and both of those products are excellent. They're nice people and this is nothing personal. I wish it could have worked out better.
