I wanted a Wyndham credit card, but its impossible to apply to get one. I had to physically mail in utility bill, SSN card pics and Drivers license pics. Then they got them and said my pics werent acceptable when i called them on phone. I asked why and they said they dont know. I asked what can i do, and they said they dont know. I just canceled my application. Their service is pre-internet and mobile phone era. It's crazy.

This is by far the worst credit card company i have ever worked with. The people that answer the phone on the customer service line lack any intelligence and tell you lies that they have clearly been trained to tell. it's amazing they are even in business. I have had one of their cards for a store I shop at for over 10 years. Barclays bank never ceases to amaze me with their unethical practices. I can not figure out why the store doesn't find a different bank to manager their credit cards. It must be the kick back the store gets from Barclays unethical practices that keep them tied to the Barclays.

We were overcharged by a taxi driver in Paris. The correct amount should’ve been nine euros, but the bill came through for €900. We contacted Barclay and put in a dispute. They investigated and came back with information that we had touched using contactless payment and therefore we had to pay the €900. Interestingly, the proof that the company gave them for the bill demonstrated that it was for somebody else, it was a six day rental instead of a six minute rental, it didn’t have our name on it, it didn’t have our signature on the receipt. This was from their own investigation department and yet they still said that because we had used the contactless payment and touched the card to the reader that we were responsible for the €900. We asked them to reopen the case, sending back their own information showing that it was not our charge and they once again said no you had touched using the contactless payment for the amount and so you have to pay the €900. Now they have said that because it’s been settled, the dispute has been archived and they don’t even want to reopen it for us. So we are very unhappy with the service that we have been getting from Barclay because it really hasn’t been much service. We really do not understand how they can have their own department find the evidence that shows it wasn’t our charge and yet still say that we have to pay for it.

I would like to go e ZERO stars. I have been a long time customer of Barclays. I have been in good standing making 3 times the payment using the card regularly despite high interest rate. I never even complained about the interest rate going up and up. I go to use my card today as I use this card regularly and it was DECLINED. I panicked my blood pressure went through the roof and I had a panic attack before I could even call them thinking omg someone hacked and maxed my card (my balance was under $300 with a limit of over 2k. I called in an absolute panic and they said oh it looks like your card was closed two days ago. Ummm I didn't close it. Why was it closed. They gave me vague answers about high balances on other cards or something. I was in great standing with them. To do that to a loyal customer they have had for many many years is unethical and the blindside was absolutely unprofessional. I now have learned this kind of blindside thing is the norm with them. How humiliating to get to a register to pay and have your card decline. You heart racing thinking omg it finally happened someone got my card info and used it. What a crooked ass company DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT ACCEPT A CREDIT CARD WITH BARCLAYS AS THE BANK. .IF YOU HAVE... CANCEL IT AND FIND A DIFFERENT CARD WITH A DIFFERENT BANK. I needed that card and to have something like this happen unexpectedly with no warning and no firm reasoning is just wrong.DO NOT ACCEPT A CREDIT CARD WITH BARCLAYS AS THE BANK. I will make it my mission to share this info to help others avoid it.

Worst company and incompetent!!! I disputed a transaction and provided evidence that I was due a refund. The company closed my case without trying to get the money back from the vendor on my behalf. I even escalated to the presidents office and still no results! Don’t ever get a credit card from Barclays!!!!!!!!!!

Worst Card Ever. They don't give you credit when you pay your account, in full, online. They put a hold on your payment for up to a week and decline your purchases till some undetermined date. Going to use my points and cancel this card ASAP.

Barclays is the worst. Because there was a possible fraud when i tried to use on priceline. Called to unlock since I’m primary . They need to call the number on file to ensure it’s me, which i no longer have. Couldn’t update after a change in phone number as the app also locked me out. Have to send in documents- ssc dl utility bill in my name( which is not it’s in husbands name) passport (don’t have one) bank statement. Send both fax and priority mail. Still not good enough because the seal on ssc and dl is faint. Been over a 9weeks after resending. Btw. Their time is eastern time. Asked to close the account again you need to send the acceptable documents. Well guess not gonna use the card ever again

If I could provide a negative zero I would. I tried booking a trip on the Jetblue app last year and there seemed to be something wrong with application and indicated for me to contact a live representative to finish my booking. I booked the trip with a rep. and later found out that I was charged a $25 fee when I called Barclay to address the situation, a rep stated that I had to pay although the application was down and was extremely rude and went back and forth with me. This is unfair to a customer and its poor customer service. A current incident regarding a charge dispute claim. My claim was apparently closed because I missed a phone call. I hardly pick up unknown calls because of scam calls and no one left me a message. This is so unprofessional and I will definitely close my account and go with a another CC that offers flyer miles.
