Don't waste your time with them they do things you don't ask them to then want to charge you for it. Then when you ask to cancel something they go ahead and keep charging you even after they state we won't anymore. This place is big joke which isn't funny customer services sucks they have rude people that work the counter and then lie to your face about things they say they will do.

Banfield SUCKS!!!!!
I took my new puppy into PetsMart and went to the Banfield clinic to get his first shots. I was talked into getting the wellness plan. On top of that I needed to pay for a couple of things not covered on the plan plus prescriptions. I ended up re-homing the dog and I cancelled the plan. I had already paid our of pocket the initial sign up fee and whatever else. I cancelled the plan only to be told that there was $256 more for the visit for 2 shots and 5 min with the vet. This one visit had cost me over $500. This is the biggest rip off place and I told them I would never return to this place again. PetsMart is to blame as well pushing their coupon package which was for Banfield. I'd rather go to a private practice instead of this way over priced so called Vet place with the doctor coming in with crazy green hair and was not very nice in the first place. Very unprofessional place with inexperienced staff who couldn't answer simple questions.

If I could give 0 I would
If I could give 0 I would. I have been paying Banfields $89 per month for their wellness plan for 5 years for my two dogs, who are 6 years old. I was happy with it at first because it seemed to cover just what they needed, even though they overbooked and it was always a wait. I switched to Tyrone from St. Pete and on our first wellness visit there it cost $345 out of pocket which has never happened before, and I was told that my dogs needed $100 per bag dog food. I bought the first bag and they hated it and the second made them sick which they would not return. A month later I took them in for their nails to be trimmed. The vet I believe her name is Dr. Kristen Korb, basically came in sat on the floor, played with my dogs for 2 minutes and walked out. The "assistant" came back in and said "Your dogs NEED; and went on to tell me as they described it "wish list" of services that came to $800. This included rays, and basically every test that is not covered on their plan. When I asked to speak to the Dr. About it, as far as why she thought they needed these tests and a timeframe that they needed them as I didn't have $800 to spend that day and was only prepared to pay for the cost of their nails she told me "they could be dead in 2 weeks, do you want to risk it?" I was Shocked and my husband could not believe she said that and told her they are 6 years old and healthy and let me think about it. After nightmares that night I took them in the next day. They told me to drop them off at 10am and that they would be finished by 11am. When I dropped them off, I asked to speak with the DR. To confirm what exactly they would be doing. She stormed in, took the dogs and told me "she was having a bad day and don't mess with her". It was against my best judgement to leave them at that time, however she had me so scared I just wanted to find out what was wrong with my dogs. We called every hour after 11am and they kept telling us another hour. At 4pm I walked in and asked where my dogs were. She said that it would be another hour because the dr has not had time to read them yet. Basically, my dogs had been sitting in a cage from 10am until 4pm when I showed up to rescue them. The receptionist was rude to me, I had had enough of their nonsense at my dogs expense and I told her to get my dogs out of the cage NOW. They were thirsty, sad, and scared. We walked out without even knowing if they did the tests or not, we were sure they did not look at the results though. They immediately turned me into collections. I had not even received a bill or a phone call, or any communication other than Credit Karma that I was delinquent $934 which I was not as I never saw results and probably didn't even run the tests...and it hit my credit report 30 days after the office visit. This place is a scam, they get you in their monthly payment plan only to add on hundreds of dollars at their FREE wellness visits. This Dr. was sloppy, rude, and I find it hard to believe she even cares about animals based on the way she treated mine.

My issues with Banfield
I think my worst issue is that I've asked several vets to check out an odd lump on my dog and each one dismissed me (for years) only to take him to a university vet hospital and find out he has cancer. I have been to several Banfields, some are better than others, but all are over-priced. I got pressured into doing unnecessary exams even after explaining my financial situation. I work at a vet hospital and explained that I knew what they were asking was unnecessary and was told it was "required" and they would not treat my dog unless I did all "required" things. Iv'e had vets try and guilt me for not being able to afford every thing they suggest. I was talked into signing up for the Banfield plan because I was desperate for information about my dog, but was mislead about the cost. Granted, yes, it's in the fine line of the paperwork but I was trusting my vets reccomendation. Iv'e had vets not know what a tapeworm looks like. Iv'e been required to see the vet because my dog was having an "emergency" only for them to tell me there was nothing wrong with my dog after charging me for an office visit. I wasn't told of possible complications for a standard procedure and was charged a second visit (after being told to come in) for there to be nothing wrong with my dog.
I will no longer be going to or recommending Banfield. In regards to my dog's cancer, which was dismissed by every Banfield vet, I am glad it's being taken care of by caring and knowledgeable staff elsewhere (and at a third of the price).

So sad of treatment by manager
Took my puppy to bandfield he is a big boy America pitbull very friendly and sweet, vet and assistant we're so nice. They needed to take a needle sample of a lump on his side took him to back I could hear him crying and them yelling at him to stop well I guess he would not stay still he was scared, so after it was over I was paying my bill and manager Rachel informed me and not in a nice way! That if and when he comes back there would be a $25.00 restraint fee. I was so upset I did not say anything at the time and when I was leaving she clearly saw I was upset and yelled have a nice day laughing with other girl standing there with her. If it was that bad with him they should come out and said he just will not cooperate so we have to sedate him I would have agreed 💯 present!!!!! But you tell me it took 4 of you to hold him down!!! now he is scared does not know them. He is so sweet and not aggressive AT ALL!!! I will never take my dog back there he is my baby and I was so upset about lump on side already

My family and I put a lot of trust into…
My family and I put a lot of trust into the Banfield pet hospital in Foothill ranch, however we were greatly hurt and broken by their malpractice and lack of empathy. Our first dog Jiggy was only 8 when we had to put him down due to the negligence of the Banfield staff. The vet’s were overdosing our dog on certain medications that soon led to a full body failure, which we had no idea about. They continued to tell us he had pancreatitis and the best thing we could do was let him rest and keep bringing him in for fluids so he could recover, however countless testings and IVs later, we found out through Mission Emergency hospital that they were overdosing our dogs on medications that they should have been slowly lowering due to the major health risks. The vets at Banfield explained to us we needed x-rays and hundreds of tests that led us with no answer or explanation of what was happening with our beloved dog. Our dog spent his last 2 weeks in misery due to the misguidance of the vets and caretakers at Banfield. I watched my daughter fight for my dog and syringe feed him baby food and water just to keep him going due to the vets advice of continuing care because he would recover. Sadly on July 21st, 2019 Jiggy had a 3 minute seizure in my daughters arms, which led to us having to rush him to the Mission Emergency Hospital— with the words of “we do not know if he can recover from this but he will spend the rest his life on medications”. At that point in time, my daughter, son, and I made the decision to put our loving dog out of his misery.
Soon after his passing, Mission hospital and his online medication company reached out to us apologizing for the situation and wishing us the best. However, when we cancelled our future appointments with Banfield and explained to them how we had to put him down, we received nothing. Not a single “I am sorry for your loss” or even a call from the vet. Instead we got a call from the Banfield corporation saying we still needed to pay the insurance for our deceased dog. This company had no respect for us after bringing our dog there for 8 years. 8 years we trusted the vets at Banfield, however that was the biggest mistake I have ever made. Our family is devastated and we still have sore hearts from losing our companion, and we urge whoever reads this. Do not bring your pet to Banfield! The company is very selfish and will only care about the bill in the end. The insurance you are paying for though Banfield will not cover if the vet at Banfield refers you to pet hospital or specialist who is not affiliated with Banfield.
I would give zero star
