This place is awful. You get roped into a year contract before you realize if there is an emergency with your pet they will not make room for them in their hospital. So they don't actually care for your pet like they claim. My dog hurt her leg and was limping, they wanted to schedule me for 6 days out before they could get her in so I was forced to got to an ER for $130 and they just gave her anti inflammatory pills. I called around to other Banfields because mine would not call around for me and got her in 4 days later, drove 45 min away for them to take xrays and give her some pain meds and said she needs surgery but they are 5 weeks out and charged me $567.00. I was forced to call around again for the soonest surgery apt and found a wonderful place I will now be going to forever but in the mean time my baby girl suffered because of it.

Do not go to this place & allow a group of clowns to touch your pet !! If I could give a negative review, I would. Banfield is full of non-educated employees. However Banfield charges overpriced fees for anything & everything. They are not interested in compassionate, skilled pet care, solely interested in making money. Every time my pet is seen, they will charge an examination fee of $47 ! I wouldn’t be upset about this if they actually did a physical exam. Sad thing is, they barely touched my dog, acted as if they were afraid of her, & didn’t do anything more thorough than basically looking at her. I asked for 1 application of First Shield Trio so my dog would have some protection from ticks & the tech told me that that product does not have tick protection. She admitted being wrong after I told her that the package says it does have tick protection. This was the second time I’ve tried using Banfield, at 2 different locations, I will NOT be giving them any more of my money. Horrible place & experience.

I would give them a negative number. No explaination due to overwelming consensus that it is not good.

Not very good experiences as they displayed no knowledge on the requirement of a specific shot that was needed for boarding. I called the place we were boarding and they clarified this. The doctor was useless and completely rude during the entire visit. This business needs to retrain all employees and managers as they are bottom-line completely rude to consumers and lack proper knowledge. The office is located in Jacksonville North Carolina.

Worst place ever! I've had my dog ace on their wellness plan for over 2 years now. I missed some of the treatments he was supposed to get at the end of his second year but now because he's started his third year he doesn't get those services now nor do I get any type of compensation for it even though I paid a monthly bill to get those services. That's the same thing as theft! They're now getting free money from me for services that they didn't provide AND they renew your contract without any permission because that's what you signed up for. These guys are crooks and to top it all off they never even could fix the yeast infection in my dogs ear. These guys suck at their job and they're thieves.

I have been using Banfield for 3 years now and I truly regret it! First their customer service is inconsistent. You have to hope you receive good service. Their doctors really don’t give you accurate information. Anytime I bring my dogs in with a concern, the answer is , they may have this... they may have that... When I leave the clinic, I have no sense of peace of mind. I have decided to just treat any minor issues at home. It is not worth going to the clinic. I am planning to cancel my plan after I complete there one year contract. I’m done with Banfield! There is more to the story but long story short. The $95 I am paying a month for both of my dogs is not worth it!

I have had my two dogs on Banfield Wellness plan for over 2 years. I recently tried to cancel after being told I would receive a full refund as long as I had not used any benefits of the plan. I have not used any this year, and I was refused a refund for the 3 months I have paid. I have contacted my bank now to get the charges back and to file a fraud claim, and I would encourage anyone else with refund issues to do the same. Other problems with Banfield are they now want you to drop your dogs off for wellness checks so they can keep them in a cage all day and get to them when they feel like it. This is not acceptable, and not something I will EVER do, so I am treated rudely each time I tell them that I will only accept an appointment where I can be present. I am told every time that they “prefer” to have the dogs dropped off and they will call when the dogs are ready. I tell them every time that I will not be doing that ever, and then I am told fine, we can make you an appointment but you will probably have to sit and wait until the doctor is available. What a pile of crap! I pay a vet so I can give my input and hear their recommendations, and I’ll be damned if I’m going to leave my dog in a cage all day while he waits for his shots! I would not recommend this plan to anyone. They will continually try to get more money out of you, try to get you to sign up for more expensive coverage, tell you your dogs need things they do not need. The entire thing is a scam. Don’t do it!
