The whole wellness plan is a joke. They are constantly recommending pricey add-ons when in reality, they’re not necessary. They’re essentially like retail who try to constantly add on products. Speaking with corporate is always a nightmare and if you get Tony from the wellness plan team, hang up and get someone else. He’s condescending, likes to interrupt, and offers no alternative solutions to an issue. I asked to speak to a supervisor and he said there was no one above him which is hard to believe.

Get this, took 2 female 5mnth old chihuahuas u bought both git violently sick at the same time when I took then there to get their first set of shots and the 3bd visit they both came down with fleas and 1 broke out really bad. I told them to give me something for their fleas but denied me because vet said they were to young but vet complained of fleas which I checked my dog with not 1 flea in site, no flea poop anywhere not a trace if anything, next visit u brought her home she broke out in sores m the way down her back. My puppy went from a healthy dog to a sickley dog in just a matter of a few weeks. I bought their insurance paid over $368 that day but o lakes came home with 2 dogs vomiting and diarrhea. I called them up and they would not even take my dog but took alot if money from me. Be careful people I'm wondering if some vet companies put fleas on your dog just to make sure you come back and spend $100s of. I'm Mas as he'll, went from no fleas on my dog to a bad problem with fleas. No issues until I went to this vet. They sure cleaned out my checking acct in a matter of days My puppy's are the one to suffer and now I have to take them to another vet and them thinking or saying how I don't take care of my pets because if the flea problem I did not have before. Thank God my home has no carpet. These vets think we are made of money. I'm there for one little issue if their shots and they say you need this you need that and oh yeah I leave with a bill of close to $500.now my fig has had problems ever since I stopped going there, now I blame myself and my husband for being taken advantage if. I have had puppies before but I did have a good vet nut we don't live in that area anymore. When my female chihuahua had puppies and they were breach I took her yo the vet to deliver there and it was an analysis hospital they only charged me $200 for3 breached birth and the momma and puppies were in great health when I left , but now u go yo this animal hospital and within hr later they both got severely sick but I bring them in and they wNt me yo pay another $300 to get them better. I mean it!! they sicken me

I have had nothing but bad experiences here I have submitted multiple complains to the company as a whole. On numerous times during the 8 months we have been stuck in a puppy wellness plan there I have been mislead about services, recommended pricey medical procedures and tests (not covered by our plan of course) that I was told were completely unnecessary when I sought out a second opinion at another local veterinary hospital where I left with a much smaller bill. Most recently told my dog needed x rays for a slight limp quoted over 400 dollars without sedation and told sedation may be necessary as well, went to another veterinary hospital who diagnosed him with minor injury due to a luxating patella (loose kneecap) that apparently he's had since birth but was not identified in any of his exams with Banfield. This vet showed me the injury in the exam room and then demonstrated on the model exactly what was happening to his knee then sent me home with medication and told me to make him rest the entire visit took 40 minutes and cost me $119 (exam and medication). He told me x-rays were completely unnecessary for his injury and would have only cost $225 at his clinic including the exam fee.

I paid 3 months for the cat wellness plan through Banfield. I just found out today that they have not bothered to charge my card for 3 months and I owe them $113. That’s on them because I have checked my account twice around when they are supposed to take the money and nothing. They are actually trying to talk me into a puppy plan too. DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THEM. Take your business to a smaller, private vet place where you, your money and your time is respected and wanted.

Denver Central Park location: STAY AWAY FROM THEM One thing banfield and its employees advertise is getting the premium insurance not only covers exams and vaccinations but includes free visits, even without an appointment. I have been turned away from "free" visits multiple times. I was told it's not an emergency and it can be taken care of at home, fine. I was told “it seems like an emergency but we don’t have available appointments so you should go to an emergency vet.” Another time I was told it WAS an emergency, they had time but the doc said she would need 24hr care and to take her to an emergency vet. When I called back (15mins later) after direction of the emergency vet requesting Banfield just see my puppy for an initial visit I was refused saying they don’t have time available and I need to go to an emergency vet. The vet later confirmed I could've went to Banfield because the wait time was likely the same and this is something my insurance likely covered.. $700 later at the emergency vet and I'm infuriated because Banfield didn’t take just 15mins or so to do an in-person assessment. If nothing else to hear my dogs breathing, symptoms.. or maybe just show they value their insured customers and show up during what they believe is an emergency. Why am I paying monthly insurance with Banfield?!! Pros: the insurance covered a spay, chipped, and vaccines. Cons: They don’t have emergency slots for pets, apparently. They don't truly care to take care of your pets during emergencies or anything that is not what I listed under pros. The front desk agents and vet doctors lack compassion and come off very lazy.

Went to Short pump location signed up for wellness plan. Canceled within a month. Paper i signed said $186 retail price for services 4 months passed by still trying to get issue handled. Practice manager charged me for additional services he did not perform leaving a bill of $400+ that i am still paying for and keep being told i will receive a call about the complaint. Every month I'm charged an extra $20 plus membership fee which i have paid over the amount $186. Phillip at the Short pump location very rude fraudulent practice manager that wont correct his wrong doing legal action will be taken against this location.

Do not trust Banfield. We were fraudulently induced into a wellness plan "contract" and were told it covered services it does not cover. Further, our cat was misdiagnosed on his first visit, and was prescribed medications that were not needed. The plan was pitched as a "membership" - and at no time were we told it was a binding, unbreakable contract. We are now taking every avenue of recourse to get the contract cancelled without financial penalty. The way the contract is sold is clearly violative of the DTPA. DON'T FALL FOR IT!

Please don’t use Banfield. Went in for a wellness exam and came out with a 900 bill. Want to cancel the plan and they said sure but you will still have to pay and we will bill you for today’s cleaning. Went to the Banfield cares line and they were no help and referred us to the local clinic. Stuck with a plan until February. Sending the info to the state attorney general. They need to look into this scam Las Vegas location on Charleston in Summerlin.
