LOL set up an appointment online for the FREE exam...The call me the week of the appointment to say the appointment I scheduled cannot be honored due to doctor being out of office. They offer to reschedule for a time when the free exam coupon has EXPIRED!!! I was skeptical when I saw the offer of a free exam and now I see I was correct. LOL petsmart...just lost a customer forever.

Customer BEWARE!! Banfield and their Optimum Wellness Plan was the poorest decision we made for our dog. Our dog ate something that was toxic, I called Banfield for advice on what to watch for, signs of toxicity. I was told that they couldn't give me advice over the phone (they couldn't see my dog that day)....this was the FIRST incident. Another incident involved getting a prescription for a medication that the vet told us we could obtain from them. Long story short, going to Banfield was a total regret. I am a retired RN of over 30+ years. Their quality of care/customer service is extremely POOR. We just found a private practice vet - but now Banfield says that we still owe them for the rest of the year for their Wellness Plan, which means that even though they have extremely poor customer service, you're stuck paying for and using their services for a year, no matter how they treat you. Just a heads up to anyone considering using them!!

My pet passed away this week. I called to cancel her wellness plan and I was told I’d have to finish paying her policy up until the renewal of next August $300.00. This is really cruel.

They are charging a wellness plan when they haven't seen my pet but once. ( 2020 I took him for check up and said all was good when the pet was peeing blood) ..at this point i took him to a different veterinary they had to do surgery.) at this point he was enrolled on a wellness plan.....been trying top cancelled and stop payments they keep taking it out every moth and now they renew with out me allowing to cancelled...every time i try cancelling they transfer the call and not one parson is allowed to help; sometime they just cut the call and i have to go back and call again hold for 30-40 min and they just keep going on circles. If was allowed to give them 0 stars that is what they deserved as corporation and a people helping at local hospital.

If you had 0 stars that what Banfield in Leesburg VA deverse. I just lost my doberman yesterday, unfortunately this is my third bubby that I lose for a cancer under Banfield hospital, this I don't think is a coincidence, I trusted they, always had my dogs to their appointments and they just died by cancer, if they was really checked well the doctors will give the right diagnostic on time. My dog was defected black color that show is blood in the stood, but the Banfield doctor said was a bacterial infection I gave all the medicine prescribed and he never not better. Last Saturday I went to the emergency room with he and they said he may had cancer, and yesterday my dog passed away in a horrible way, vomited blood, pooping etc I fell devastated and frustrated and I wish nobody can have this horrible experience. Something in the clinic they have more then 30 dogs This is so unfair and my heart is broke

Banifeld wellness plan is an absolute waste of money. It’s a contract without them telling you! It’s a piece of s**t and I’m pissed cause it’s not insurance!

It's crap. I DO NOT RECOMMEND, they never know what my dog ​​has, and they charge you a lot more for the supposed things they do to the dog. You can pay their insurance more expensively and it does not cover anything. The doctors do not know anything, the worst thing is that you cannot get out of the insurance before because you have to pay it, THEY DO NOT LET YOU CANCEL IT IS A GARBAGE DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS

Absolutely terrible company. Never cares about pets, constantly tries to upsell services. It's disgusting at how transparently greedy they are. Today I took in my dog to get a simple prescription for seizures. The proper scrip is phenobarbital. They JUST did a blood test on him last month, but refused to give the prescription without another costly blood test for NO REASON WHATSOEVER. I have been taking 5 dogs there for 6 years. EVERY TIME there is a problem. It's impossible to get an appointment quickly, and every time they've tried to upsell me on something. They have misdiagnosed my dogs multiple times. I once took one of my dogs in for puncture wounds in his abdomen. The vet called me to recommend a skin cream for his elbow. It took me ten minutes of repeatedly explaining to him that the poor dog has bleeding puncture wounds in the abdomen until he finally saw them and said "oh I see them now". That's after my dog had been there for hours. The conduct of this company is criminal. I'm actually reporting them to the CA Attorney General. UPDATE: To the “reply” Banfield wrote citing their “concerns” and urging me to email them…I already did that. They replied with a bs copy/paste saying that they will forward my concerns to the hospital. In my long email I cited problems with multiple hospitals. I’ve actually just asked for all records and have decided to file a lawsuit for breach of contract. I’m also still reporting the to the Attorney General. I believe the behavior and business practices of Banfield to be unethical and profane; possibly illegal.
