I came for prescription and help with administration of medication for tapeworm for mu cat. They said that they can't prescribe unless they do fecal exam. Charged me for exam, didn't find anything, still sold me the same medication that I already bought myself and refused to administer. So, $54 dollars charge and I am in the same situation. I never saw the doctor.

My adult dog had a stomach bug, we took her in and the vet recommended the Wellness Plan. My husband and I considered it, she was getting a bit older so we agreed. Within 2 months our poor dog's health declined, we had to come in and get more tests, including a second round a blood tests that wasn't included, and she passed away. Almost two months after she passed I got charged for the Wellness Plan and called to see what could be done. The answer is nothing, I signed a year contract. So I lost my dog, paid for extra stuff that wasn't covered in the plan, and now get to continue to pay each month (for 10 months) until my contract is up. I really enjoyed the vets at the location, but not if their purpose is to offer extra tests and these plans. Then really stick it to you when it doesn't work out.

I took my dog for a regular office visit the doctor said that he had an ear infection and he will need medication. I purchased the medication for $70, however the dog never got the medicine because he was taken out of town without it. The dog returned for a checkup and miraculously the infection was gone. The place is a money pit and takes advantage of pet owners. Very disappointed and I will never go back

I can not say anything that hasn't been said already. They are as basic as you can get for pet services.

The vets were nice but their system is built to trap you into an insurance policy only an attorney would read for fun. You trust, sign, and when it's time to go they give you a million reasons why you owe them another year. Find a local vet, do business with caring humans not a greedy corporation

Do your pets a favor and DO NOT GO HERE! We recently took our Yorkie there for a check up. They called my wife and told her he had a cracked tooth and it needed to come out. Three days later he is still crying and moaning. He eats dry food a chews on steak bones. His tooth has NEVER bothered him. When she went to pick him up they told her his gums were in great shape and the tooth was hard to get out. MAYBE THOSE 2 THINGS SHOULD HAVE TOLD THEM TO LEAVE IT ALONE! I have had a cracked tooth for 25 years and it doesn't bother me. They also referred us to Blue Pearl for his knee surgery. Blue Pearl did not do what they said they would and it took a second surgery to fix it. The second one never should have had to be done and they charged us for that one too. $7500 later and he still limps. Do your pats a favor and do not use either of these places unless you want to over pay for them to cause you little one unneeded pain.

It's a shame as a company Banfield is ran so poorly, because they do have a handful of good employees and vets working for them - though it seems the really good ones don't stay long; no wonder. All the worst parts of a "big box store" with none of the positives. They've gone downhill the last few years after pivoting over to a biz model revolving around hawking their (very misrepresented) wellness plan. Be sure to read the fine print!

We loved using Banfield in Texas with a brand new puppy - their plan was amazing! But, then we moved to NY. We had this plan from the time was first adopted (3 months old) and she is going to be 5. Every month like clockwork they happily auto deduct my account for the amount - but they do nothing to help us. I would give Banfield plans NO stars if I could. Getting an appointment is IMPOSSIBLE (even though we’re optimum wellness members for the last 4+ years) they say we get priority - but I can’t get an appointment unless it’s 2+ months from the date we need it. we can’t cancel, because it’ll still take the remaining amount (it won’t pro-rate) so we have to pay monthly for a useless plan AND pay out of pocket for emergency situations and even things like updating her vaccines and/or heartworm testing to get her preventatives. We haven’t been able to get into a Banfield in 3 years, shame on me for keeping the plan “just in case” - It’s the worst and I cannot wait for May 12th, when I’ll cancel and never use this again or recommend it to anyone else.
