I have banfield insurance; waste of money. Also you can never get an appt when it's an emergency. I have seen multiple vets, at different locations, even in different states. I have never been impressed with any over the last 13 years. Dr Cotton caught my dogs glaucoma by chance when others missed it so I felt she may be a decent vet, until she recommended euthanasia and her bedside manner was beyond poor. I had to ask for comfort measures. When I got a second opinion from an outside agency, that vet was so compassionate and kind. He offered me options, what that callous cold banfield vet could not be bothered to spend the time w me; she wanted to have the tech confer messages. I am a nurse practitioner, so I understand what the bedside manner means. Dr Cotton, I hope you find caring healthcare providers in your lifetime

Terrible customer service. They continue to push their wellness plan which is a rip off, and charge astronomical prices, book appointments without price discussion. Rude personalities. Do not go there!

We were paying on annual plan, for three cats and one dog. My partner and I broke up and she has all the animals why won't they transfer the balance of the plan to her, why do I need to pay for animals I don't have.

DO NOT DO THE WELLNESS PLAN. My biggest problem is the once my dog was put down, the cooperate offices of Banfield told me that they will continue charging me for my wellness plan. I was verbally told that I could cancel my wellness plan after my dog passed when I first signed up. The operator said that is technically true BUT verbally omitted the part where they lock you into a full 12 months of installment in a written contract. So even my dog is dead and I paid thousands of dollars prior to his death to Banfield OUT OF POCKET (outside of their wellness plan discounts), I still will continue to make payments for the wellness plan. Sneaky and greedy...

I would leave a negative star if possible. This company is utterly disgusting and heartless. It would be cheaper without insurance and they don’t care if your pet dies. They will still keep charging you and when you try to cancel will not cancel and will continue to charge you even after the year is up. This company should be gotten rid of. They stole my money and are never available when you call. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

I don't know where he received his doctors degree from but he should not have one. I had to leave my dog there and then he called me 3hrs after and ask me what was going on with my dog. He had all the info on the computer, then ask where I got the pain med from, he never told me what might be wrong with him, then he said what do you wnat done with him. That is not a very good vet if you ask me.

THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN. I had a beautiful Dwelf kitten (it's one of the hairless cats). They refused his appointment MULTIPLE times during the week and MISDIAGNOSED him, leading to his TRAGIC DEATH. It's truly heart-wrenching to say this, but my kitten was worth $6500. To add insult to injury, when my teenager daughter was PANICKED and begging for help while holding the kitten, the company was UNRESPONSIVE and REFUSED to answer her calls. Instead, I had to call a distant location to find out that the only Banfield Hospital that could have taken care of him was the EXACT SAME ONE my daughter was trying to reach. After rushing him to the emergency room, it was too late. He had PCR, and my kitten passed away. My daughter's 15th birthday gift was DEAD, right in front of her eyes. and we were left to mourn the loss of our beloved pet. Can you imagine how much emotional trauma this is? The company had originally DIAGNOSED him with a gum disease, but an autopsy revealed that he had a fatty liver disease. Now, not only did this company cause us immense emotional distress, but they also made us pay for their NEGLIGENCE. Even after my kitten's death, I was ENROLLED in their plan for a WHOLE YEAR, paying for FIVE CATS, INCLUDING ONE THAT IS DEAD. I'm through with Banfield my pet just recently passed away and Banfield continues to charge my account until November, this is not the first time this has happened to us. The Brea office has never provided us with emergency care and now they're closed on Sundays one of the reasons why our pet has passed away very poor customer service.
