Terrible experience! You have to hold for over an hour in order to talk to anyone to get help. Their pillows don’t match. The prints don’t match. Lady after an hour on hold was supposed to email me a code so I can return it and still didn’t email it to me. This place sucks I’ll never order ever again!!!

I ordered a table from Ballard Designs in March 2026. In May, I got an email that the item was being shipped. In June I got another email that May shipping notice was an error. But I did not realize is that meant Ballard canceled my entire order. However, when I would check order status by order number, it would still show as processing. Learn today that their order status was misleading. The only way to get item was to place a new order with hopeful shipping in September. Request for rush shipping if I re-ordered was denied. I opted to walk away from this order and anything else from Ballard.

My client liked the Ballard Designs Dayna Side Chairs. What a mistake as the chairs showed in Stock, and I called to place the order with assurance they would ship immediately and the Shipping is FREE. 45 days of customer service lies over & over, the chairs were not in stock and we were strung along. Now 60 DAYS and FragilePak (free shipping) keeps sending delay notices. Worse company ever...Beware Beware!

I bought an almost $3000 bed. Their idiot delivery company - HUB GROUP (impossible to reach)had the wrong address and it was impossible to change it- even though the bed was on the truck ONE street away I just hung up after a 40 min phone call AGAIN w Ballard saying I no longer want the bed. 2 weeks ago I spent 30 minutes having the same conversation and was assured Id see my refund soon. The Hub Group contacts me yesterday saying they're delivering this bed!!!! But they did not show up/ So- the 40 min call. If Hub Group eventually brings the bed back to Ballard- then I'll get a refund. So for over 2 months, Ballard has had my $3000 and the bed and I have nothing. They WILL NOT refund me now.... so you can be sure I'll have to follow u[p again asking where my $ is- and I'll bet they act like it's the first time they are hearing about this I have wasted HOURS -I have been a REALLY good customer- but no more. Pottery Barn, Wm Sonoma. Kings Lane and on and on will get my business. A nightmare!

I made the mistake of purchasing a Sale Item with Ballard Designs and now I cannot return it. They don't accept Returns on Sales items even though their website says nothing about it being a "Final Sale". I won't ever do business with them again.

Have been waiting for my the final cushion for an outdoor couch since March. First they sent one wrong one out of three ordered for the couch, they messed up the replacement order, now still waiting. Haven't been able to use the couch all summer. Order elsewhere is my STRONG advice. We have 1,000.00 wrapped up in this. Awful!!

I have ordered 2 custom chairs on October 26, 2025. They arrived in December of 2025 with damage on one chair. I was told to use them and a new order was placed January 12th of 2026. The replacements arrived in April of 2026, and had the exact damage. We refused the delivery and they also took the original chairs…. To avoid finance charges, I paid the entire balance of $3979.00 in December of 2025. As of today, May 30th, 2026, I just made my 6th or 7th call to Ballard, I still do not have my money refunded. The supervisor, Kim Stockdale who I spoke to today, gave me a lesson in how credit cards work ( seriously) and will call me back next week to let me know where my money has gone!!! Somehow, it is nowhere to be found…. This has been a nightmare and is still not resolved…..be very careful with Ballard, Lower your expectations, wait forever and be treated poorly by them! ORDER FURNITURE ELSEWHERE!!!!

Absolutely, positively do not order a piece where you're sending in your own fabric. This has been nothing but a fiasco, but even worse it's not for me, it's for a client. First, you have to snail mail the order to them so there is not electronic record and no acknowledgement. I inquired about the order about 3 weeks after I sent it in once I tracked my fabric to their warehouse. No record of the order or my fabric. Now I'm 4 weeks behind on the expected delivery date, yet I had to go to the back of the line for manufacturing again only to have to wait 6 more weeks. Try to explain this to a client! No consideration of the fact that this was entirely their error. I will never order anything from Ballard Design again. This has been a miserable and frustrating experience without any accountability on their part.
