The pricing they display on their site did not include any insurance and only found out when we picked the car up. The cost of the insurance almost doubled an expensive car rental. When we complained that there was a link in the confirmation to the additional conditions at the bottom of that page was a small mention of additional charges that you had to buy in order to rent the car. An expensive lesson.

Booked through autorentals for a car hire with Hertz in Tahiti. When we went to collect car hire at airport, the desk agent advised that we had been booked on a rental that charged a fee per kilometre we travelled in the car (over NZ$1 per km!). Thus, we had to switch to an agreement that had kilometres included, which over doubled our original price that was agreed with autorentals. Prior to this, we had triple checked all terms and conditions on the autorental agreement and nothing mentioned this additional fee. Would not book again.

Initial booking online was straightforward. However, I realized a week before that I had not been offered insurance for my european hire, but had for my England hire. I had to take up insurance when I arrived to collect my car which cost me significantly more. I ordered a Renault Captur as I wanted a small car for the small Italian towns we were going to, instead, I got a Ford Focus estate, a longer car, wider car than I was wanting, heavier too, yet it came with a piddly 1.0L engine and wheezed its way up italian hills. Was not a pleasant experience. I needed to call autorentals due to an error on collection, the phone numbers on my hire voucher were disconnected. In the end what should have cost me $2300 approx, cost me $3500. Do not use autorentals.com, they will disapoint and cost you dearly.

Scam web site! They charged me the initial payment and never transferred the money over to the rental provider so I end up paying more than the original quote! Never use this web site again!

We have a customer service team dedicated to providing information and support to our customers every day and strive for our customers to have a great experience from start to finish. AutoRentals.com has pricing transparency and upon checkout fully discloses to all customers the total estimated costs for the booking and the portion of the total cost that is due upon booking the reservation (if any) and the portion that is estimated to be due at time of pick-up. When we receive inquiry from a customer regarding questions around charges, we gather details from the customer and the final invoice paid and confirm with the rental supplier that the time and mileage base costs match what was indicated at the time of booking. When this customer reached out we did confirm the details and confirmed that all charges were correct to the items that were chosen at time of booking. In any event where a discrepancy is discovered, AutoRentals.com advocates for the customer and we collaborate with our supplier partners to correct. Where total pricing paid at invoice for a rental has the potential to differ, is when at the time of pick-up customers add on additional items to the rental such as additional driver or additional insurance that can increase the costs of the total rental from the estimated charges at booking, as they were not chosen or included at time of booking. In these such cases, the total price paid for the rental will be different from the estimations. We review these details as well with our customers to ensure they opted in for those additions at the time of pick-up to confirm that they were charged correctly, and did so in this case. Booked a hire car in Dublin Ireland through autorentals.com, they used herzt ireland. Autorentals booked the car hire without basic insurance so i had to pay 107 euro for 4 days, what a scam to keep their prices down. AVOID AVOID AVOID
