Rod
Works as advertised. The bait could be a little better.

Thanks for the feedback Rod. We have a DIY basket for those who wish to use other lures. We understand that there is no sweeping solution for all trapping environments. Check it out on site: www.automatictrap.com/collections/shop/products/diy-lure-baskets And let us know if you have any questions via [email protected] Thanks, - TH

The trap works! Using the bait cards makes it better. I've been getting mice and ground squirrels regularly. The counter is more handy than you might think. The cons? The trap stand is a good idea, but falls a little short. Something ran off with our trap. It's nowhere to be found. The next one gets anchored - but really, I want the trap with the tree/post mount. You can't buy one - you have to buy the mount separate. FYI, don't place it where poultry gathers - they try to get the bait. No one got injured, but they sure did try!

this is overpriced and does not work. Feel like a fool for buying it.

Hi Martha, We're sorry to hear you haven't found success with your trap. Sometimes it can take a while to find the right combination of the lure, trap placement, and eliminating food competition. We would love to help you troubleshoot your trapping environment if you're interested? We will reach out via email if that works for you. We definitely stand behind our traps and would love the opportunity to change your mind. - TH

I used this trap for a chipmunk infestation. I cleared ten of them in just two weeks with just adding mixed nuts and bird seed into the attractant holder with a hair net to secure the seeds and nuts from falling ontop of the trigger causing a fails reading. Also added nuts to the ground around the trap works like a charm!.

Do not waste your money!! We own a pest control company and decided to give this a try to see if it was something that would work for some of our customers, tried it out on a property with a known rat problem and did not kill a single rat. Have killed a rat a day on regular snap traps but not a single one with this device. Over priced and waste of space. I do not recommend this to anyone.

I have tried the bait that was given to me and it has not work ed. I tried peanut butter, peanuts, birdseed ,corn and everything I know to get the squirrels, but they will not climb into the area where the bait is.

Hi Walter, I believe we have your contact information, we will have someone from our trapping team reach out and try to troubleshoot your trapping area. Sometimes it is finding the right combination of lure and removing food competition. While we don't officially support using the trap on Non-target species like ground squirrels. We have had customers who have found a lot of success with it in the past. TH

I had a serious problem with grey squirrels repeatedly entering a furnished outbuilding (home office). The counter on my Automatic Trap is at 7, and my grey squirrel problem is gone.
