Credit card fraud is what is wrong with…
Credit card charged with no authorization I wasn't aware that by simply buying books you are signed into their membership without consent or knowledge Had a hard time to get a refund and deactivating the membership I never signed up for is a lengthy multiple step process Plus they deactivate it a month after you put in a request to deactivate A very unpleasant experience If you enjoy books with no hassle go to GraphicAudio granted their prices are higher but the quality and customer service are top notch

We're sorry this was a frustrating experience. When you contacted us about the charge and explained that you had not intended to activate our Club Pricing Plan, we refunded the membership charge and provided instructions for deactivation. For paid monthly plans, completing deactivation stops future membership charges, while plan benefits remain available until the next billing date. This does not mean you must pay for another month. We understand your concerns about the enrollment and cancellation process, and we appreciate you sharing your feedback.

Frustrating! "Downloads aren't ready" and oddly chopped files.
I love that their books are DRM free so I can use the audio to put on my grandkids tablets and Yoto cards. BUT be warned if you buy chapter books or bundled books (for example Magic Tree House Books 1-8). The files are randomly chopped up and ARE NOT by book. I've had to use an audio editor to tediously fix it somewhat so that the last 3 minutes of book 1 isn't tacked on to the file for book 2. VERY FRUSTRATING! Also, my downloads are never available to download days to a week after purchase. I have to call and/or email to get them to "release" them.

Hi Belinda, the audiobooks are broken up the same way the publisher gave then to us. They have been doing a better job in recent years breaking them up by chapter, but the Magic Tree House book you are referring to is from 2011. We emailed you saying we would get a new copy from the publisher in hopes it would be broken up better now. Downloading a large number of audiobooks in rapid succession triggers some fraud prevention that slows you down. Downloads are instantly available after purchase and you never have to wait days or weeks to download them. When you first emailed us about this, we verified your account for downloads so it would never slow you down again.

Service is pretty good, book selection very large. I wish they would exchange. books you find not to be what you had hoped, like some other audiobook services, however, for the monthly fee(4.95) and excellent discounts on books, they are worthwhile

Should have more discounts for repeat …
Should have more discounts for repeat customers. Club price is no bargain. Looking for something cheaper.

We do offer a Rewards Program that rewards repeat customers. Simply click on the "Activate Rewards" button in your account on our website. We cannot offer our deeply discounted Club Pricing through our Apple app because Apple takes 30% of every transaction. You can use Safari on your phone and make your purchases through our website www.audiobooksnow.com Any you purchase on our site will show up in your library on our app.

Two devices needed
Great choice of books. The quality of each book is fantastic. The problem is I cannot purchase the books with an iphone. I must purchase the book on an android device. After that I can download and listen to the book on my iphone. If it wasn't for this I would give Audiobooksnow 5 stars.

You can use your iPhone to make your purchases. Simply open up Safari and go to our website www.audiobooksnow.com. Anything you purchase on our site will show up in your library on our apps.

I wish I could clear old bookmarks out
I wish I could clear old bookmarks out, and I don’t understand why it starts to read as soon as a bookmark is placed? I mean typically the placement of a bookmark indicates an individual is at least taking a pause... not just placing it it to go back to in the future. Just some small bugs I am sure can be fixed. I do think they have a good selection, but not necessarily a great one. Thank you for your time to explain the bookmark feature; would it be a problem to include that information, just some info about the functions of your different features? I think if it was available even in the FAQ I would have not had any issues except to request a better “selection” and I would have rated your app 4Stars because requesting a larger selection is nit-picking.

We are working on a way to delete bookmarks you have manually created. Our apps automatically create a bookmark every 30 seconds as you listen to the book. It also creates one when you touch the "Pause" button so if you just want to take a quick brake, it's best to touch the "Pause" button. The manual bookmark and labeling feature is meant for bookmarking and labeling a specific place in the book for future reference.
