I bought an Audien Ion Pro and it's the worst piece of garbage I've ever purchased. One day the app hangs my Android phone. The next day the app can't find my devices. They want me to talk to a technician and even if he gets it working I'm sure it will fail again within a few days. I just want to return the device and get my money back. STAY AWAY FROM AUDIEN!!!

Return Issues
The sale process was great but the product not so great. Once I tried them the left ear unit was ok but the right ear unit did not nothing but screech. I tried all the different fittings but none of them worked. I contacted customer service to request a return and refund, but was told to try all the different fittings which I did again and with the same bad result. Contacted them again for a refund and was told they would have specialist contact me. Never heard from anyone. Again, I requested a refund, but have never beard anything back

Hi Robert,
We’re really sorry for all the back and forth and for the inconvenience this caused — that’s definitely not the kind of experience we want for our customers.
We looked into your account and saw that our team did try reaching out, but unfortunately, we weren’t able to connect. It also appears that your order has passed the 45-day return window. We completely understand that this may not be the outcome you were hoping for, and we truly apologize for the frustration.
That said, we’re still here to help — whether it’s troubleshooting the right ear device or exploring a possible upgrade option, we’ll do our best to make things right. Please feel free to reach out anytime so we can assist you further.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Warm regards,

My mom ordered the in ear style hearing…
My mom ordered the in ear style hearing aids and the style does not work for her. She’s used to the behind the ear style. The return page in the FAQ on the website says to email them and they’ll send a return label however (no mention of having to make an appt), they’re forcing her to make a video appointment with a specialist so they can try to convince her to keep these. I don’t appreciate these tactics as they prey on senior citizens. It’s very much a bait and switch situation. Because of these tactics, we will not be purchasing any more of their products. You better believe I will be a part of that video appointment and they’re going to get an earful from me about this.

Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to share this — we truly appreciate it, and we’re very sorry for the frustration this caused your mom. That’s absolutely not the experience we want for any customer, and we completely understand your concern about how this came across.
The intent behind offering a brief video or phone consultation is to make sure the device is fitted and set up correctly, and even handle the return process. However, we completely understand that asking for a video appointment can feel pushy — especially for seniors — and that was never our intention. We’re truly sorry it came across that way.
We want to make this right. If your mom would prefer not to do a video appointment, we can absolutely process the return over the phone instead. Please email us at [email protected]
or call us at 205-255-1112 — we’ll make sure it’s handled smoothly.
Thank you again for bringing this to our attention. Your feedback helps us improve how we communicate and support our customers, especially seniors. We hope to resolve this quickly and regain your trust.
Warm regards,
Vince

They stole my money and haven't sent my hearing aids back.
They refused to let me cancel.my order and return my hearing aids 3 times and now haven't even replaced the broken ones I sent back more than a month ago.
Response from Audien HearingOct 7, 2025
Hi Brian,
We’re truly sorry for the frustration this experience has caused you. We completely understand how upsetting it is to deal with delays and communication issues—especially when it involves something as important as your hearing aids.
After reviewing your account, we can confirm that the return was processed outside of our return window, which is why it wasn’t eligible for a full refund. That said, we always aim to be fair and transparent with our customers, and our policies are in place to make sure everyone is treated consistently.
This might not be the outcome you were hoping for, but we’d still like to help find a solution—whether that’s checking on your replacement or exploring other options to make things right.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Best regards,
Vince

My Experience with Audien Was Extremely Disappointing
I ordered the Audien Ion Pro hearing aids with the intention to evaluate them during the 45-day trial period to determine if they were suitable for me. Initially, I was vey pleased with the loud volume, but soon found that they could not be tuned to enable me to clearly hear conversation. Additionally, after a short time of use the sound would cut out. To explain more clearly, the sound would mute for a second or two then return. In time this problem worsened and when the aids would mute, the sound would not return. The aids had to be put in the charging case before sound returned. I had two video sessions with Audien hearing specialists, and although nothing meaningful was accomplished, I agreed to continue trying the aids. After futher use I subsequently eported the problems noted above to Audien and requested a return and refund. Instead of acknowledging my request, Audien wanted to schedule yet another video conference with a hearing specialist. At this point I submitted a claim to PayPal hoping for help in getting a refund. PayPal opened a formal case and logged information from me and Audien. I was eventually given authority to return the aids. The day I prepared to ship the aids back to Audien, the left port of the charging case stopped working. I made note of that in the PayPal case narrative. The case was settled in my favor in about a month. In summary, I must say in every respect that Audien made things difficult, and I doubt if I would have received a satisfactory settlement without the involvement of PayPal.

Hi Swvirginian,
Thank you for sharing your detailed experience with us. We’re very sorry to hear about the issues you encountered with your ION Pro, as well as the difficulties you faced in trying to resolve them. That’s never the experience we want for our customers.
While we do our best to troubleshoot with customers through our hearing specialists, we understand that the process can sometimes feel drawn out, especially when you’re already dealing with technical issues. We regret that this left you feeling frustrated and that PayPal had to step in to finalize your refund.
We truly value your feedback — it helps us identify where we can improve both our devices and our support process. Please know that we are taking this to heart, and we’re committed to making things easier and smoother for future customers.
We wish you the very best in finding the right solution for your hearing needs, and thank you again for giving Audien a try.

My wife bought the Atom Pro for me for…
My wife bought the Atom Pro for me for Christmas. It was a gift of hearing. She purchased them on November 13, 2024 as a Black Friday promotion. Unfortunately, she chose Audien Hearing Aids. Their inferior product went defective and Audien Hearing would NOT ACCEPT A RETURN FOR REFUND because I started using them on Christmas day and a few weeks in January the hearing aids stopped working. Audien said we were past the 45 day period.
They replaced them with another defective pair that lasted 4 weeks before they stopped working as well.
Audien waited over a month to respond to my case. We upgraded and paid Audien immediately. Now another month has passed and we have nothing but a long e-mail chain of nonsense. Audien is good at taking money; however, they fail with delivering a product that works and services. A month later, the upgrade arrived.
I immediately returned them to Audien, for I am done with them. Audien Refunded the amount for the upgrade; however, NOT THE AMOUNT FOR ORIGINAL PURCHASE. I now have NO hearing aids, working or not working and we are out $150.00 that Audien kept.
Here is a quote from Mr. Vince in my email chain; "... Thanks for getting back to me. I truly understand your frustration—and honestly, I would feel the same if I were in your position... ".

Hi James,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and I want to sincerely apologize for all the frustration this situation has caused you and your wife. I completely understand how upsetting it must feel to go through defective devices, delays, and not get the resolution you were hoping for. That’s never the kind of experience we want for our customers.
I do want to clarify that when we reviewed your account, we confirmed the original order had already passed the 45-day return window by the time the request was made. Because of that, we weren’t able to issue a refund for that order, as our policy is designed to be consistent and fair for all of our customers. That said, we did process and refund the upgrade order as soon as it was returned.
I know that doesn’t make the situation any less frustrating, and you’re absolutely right to be upset about the delays and the back-and-forth communication—it should have been handled more smoothly and much sooner. I’m truly sorry this has left you with such a disappointing impression of us.
Please know that we’re here if you’d like us to explore troubleshooting or replacement options, and our team is committed to making sure every customer feels supported. If you’d like, you can reach us directly at 205-255-1112 or through our support page: https://audienhearing.com/pages/support.
Thank you again for your feedback—we’ll be using it to improve how we communicate and support our customers going forward.

Honest review after 3 months of…
Honest review after 3 months of runarounds. I started trying to return my Audien hearing aids back in June, one day after I received them. I still have all the emails. It’s now September, and after multiple emails, calls, and even a “specialist appointment,” I still have never received simple return instructions. Instead, I kept getting cheery upsell emails (“don’t forget to change your wax guards!”) while the company stalled me past their 45-day return window. Once that window closed—thanks to their delays—they told me I was no longer eligible for a refund even though the
"specialist" mentioned extending the window so I could become acclimated to the new hearing aids. A few weeks would suffice was mentioned. Classic bait, switch, and stall tactic. This isn’t customer service, it’s a scam disguised with friendly emojis and hollow apologies. Beware: once they have your money, their strategy is to run out the clock and leave you stuck. Save yourself the headache. Buy from a company that respects its customers, not one that games its own policies to trap you.

Hi Matthew,
Thank you for sharing your experience, and I’m truly sorry for the runaround and frustration you’ve gone through. This is clearly not the level of support we aim to provide, and I completely understand how disappointing this must have felt.
We double-checked your account and want to reassure you that we’ve now sent you the offboarding link, which allows you to complete your return directly. Once the hearing aids are received back in our warehouse, we’ll be glad to process your refund right away without any further delays.
I sincerely apologize again for all the confusion and the time it’s taken to get this sorted out. Your feedback is very important to us, and we’ll be using it to improve how we handle returns so this doesn’t happen again.
Best regards,
Vince
