I recently purchased a pair of the Audien top of the line Ion Pros on sale. I have owned 4 different sets of aids from several companies, from the traditional audiologist to OTC type. I have also tested and reviewed several other OTC brands that weren't worth buying. I thought I would try Audien because of their prolific advertizing. I didn't expect much, but was pleasantly surprised about the quality of the sound, the comprehensive app adjustments and sound modes available providing me with a good hearing experience with TV, noisy backgrounds, and a wide variety of settings. All at a better price than I had paid for all the others I have owned and with equal or better quality. The behind the ear portion is larger than my smallest but smaller than my largest. I deducted one star for the inconsistent connection between the aids and my iphone. If I walk away from my iphone the aids will disconnect and not reconnect when I get back in range. Instead I have to retrace the same connection steps putting the aids in the charger and reconnecting like when I took them out of the box originally. Also, when using the app, the battery will run down in less than a day. Once they correct those issues, they will have the most rocking hearing aid on the OTC market. Customer service and sales was easy to use and work with. I will surely keep my eye on Audien in hopes that they will survive the highly competitive OTC breakout that will surely eliminate a number of inferior brands on the current market.
