I realize many people have thought Assurance is awful, but in my experience, they're terrific. They've replaced phones for me whenever there was a problem and their customer service people know their stuff and are extremely helpful. I've had Verizon and Apple and Assurance has much better customer service than either one.

I guess I’m one of the lucky ones. When I have a complaint about a company I write about it, but also when I’m happy with a service provided to me. I’ve had my free service through them for approximately 4 1/2 years. The coverage’s excellent. Internet works great. Texts and calls are surprisingly reliable. Phones are for free, so, they’re not the best. They broke down on three occasions within a year each, and every time a replacement was promptly sent to me. Here comes the best part: Customer Service is the best in the business. You can speak to a live operator in seconds or in a couple of minutes. I haven’t found one yet that is not courteous, efficient, and very friendly. I called for assorted reasons, from simple questions to hard technical issues. No problem! Now I replaced the last cheap phone they sent me with a good T-Mobile one (The Network they use) and my worries ended. Even HotSpot on the street from my phone to my computer works amazingly fast and well. I widely recommend this company.

I tried both Safelink and Trueconnect first, just to give the underdogs a chance, I wish I hadn't. I still have 2 Safelink phones in my closet that never worked, that Safelink doesn't even want back. I also have one Trueconnect phone in my closet with the same condition but had required 2 new SIM cards in order to also not work. My Assurance phone never had a problem, the WI-FI is excellent, and the Customer Service required to start it was prompt with minimal wait. Safelink's and especially Trueconnect's customer service, which as referenced above I required innumerable times, were literally half hour waits at a minimum each and every time. Assurance is the professional provider.

Wow, my experience has been vastly different from what the other reviewer's claim, so much so that I'm about 95% sure they're absolutely false and/or grossly exaggerated. My experience is as follows; I applied online with assurance wireless, it was quick and super simple. No hopfrogging links and redirects. It was like if you want to apply apply here, apply here hyperlink went straight to thr application. Took maybe 5 minutes max. Got a phone in a week amd a half. This was Sept 2021. In Jan someone stole my sim card so I called them. I pushed 0 4 times amd after waiting maybe 2 mins was speaking with a live person and after explaining what happened he rushed ordered me a new phone, in all it tookmaybe 10mins. Got my new phone in 5 days. A few days ago that same phone stopped working, screen would not come on. So I called on a Saturday amd after maybe 2 mins was speaking with a live person, told them what happened and was ordered a new phone it took less that 10 mins. So yeah, I'm pretty sure these other people are lying out of thier lying liar hole.

I am very happy with my phone and very thankful. Yeah it might not be my old S9 plus but I can call, text, watch YouTube, listen to Pandora, unlimited talk, text, data and 10gb of hot spot. Only downside is the battery doesn't last the longest but I think I can live with that. Customer service was great with helping me get my phone up and running also. One more thing, I live in the middle of nowhere and have good service.
