Two mobile deposits from an estate company were flagged as fraud. Customer service associate told me the checks would be in my account overnight. They were not. Apparently depositing two checks with the same amount flags a 7 day hold. Beware. 3rd strike for them with my account. Closing it out because they can’t seem to do business like a normal bank. Will not verify funds that are legitimate. Updating review: they still have not provided written notice as governed by regulation CC. BEWARE

It was fine until they started charging there poorer customers a service fee, if you have at least $5k or get a monthly deposit of at least $3k they wont charge you, ridiculous to punish the poorer customers and leave the richer or better off ones alone I will be leaving arvest for that reason alone permanently! Screw arvest and there management!

Worst Bank for Trust Accounts
The worst experience in dealing with a bank. My mom had been a long-time customer with Arvest until she passed. I then notified Arvest of her passing and provided to them all legal documents needed to update the trust. I was named as Trustee. They failed to rename the account correctly, kept it as a revocable trust, even though they had the proper documentation. They refused to take a check from a land sale which was named correctly. The assistant branch manager did not have an idea of how trusts work and was trying to dismiss everything I was telling him. I closed the accounts and took the money to another financial institution and it took all of 20 minutes to open the new accounts. Trying to deal with Arvest with several family trusts has been a nightmare. Never again!

Beware of Fraudulent Activity
An individual was able to gain unauthorized access to my checking account, change the email address and telephone number associated with my account, and transfer money from my account into another account without my authorization. When I discovered what had happened, I was unable to access my own account or my funds. I ultimately had to go into the bank to address the situation, and because of the seriousness of the security breach, I closed the account.
Unfortunately, the problems did not end there. After the account was closed, the bank continued sending statements to my former address despite my repeated attempts to have this corrected. I specifically contacted the bank and was told the issue would be resolved.
Approximately four months later, a credit card was opened in my husband's name without his authorization and was mailed to that same former address. Given the previous unauthorized access to my account and the bank's continued use of our old address, this is extremely concerning.
We immediately contacted the bank's fraud department. My husband was told that a case would be opened, but he was repeatedly placed on hold. After waiting for more than an hour without anyone returning to the call, he was forced to hang up. We were never given a case number or confirmation that an investigation was actually opened.
At this point, we are extremely concerned about the security of our personal information and the bank's handling of these incidents. We expected the fraud department to take this matter seriously and provide us with a case number, an investigation, and a clear explanation of what happened. Instead, we were left on hold for over an hour with no resolution.
This is not simply a customer-service issue. It involves an account takeover, unauthorized movement of funds, unauthorized changes to my contact information, continued use of our former address after the account was closed, and a subsequent unauthorized credit card opened in my husband's name. We need answers, accountability, and a thorough investigation into how this occurred.

I went to their Bank today to open a Savings Account - otherwise they would not exchange foreign currency (Euro)
It took forever to get to the point where they exchanged my Euro into Dollar and they gave me over $400.00 less than what my Euros were worth PLUS charged me $20.00 fee!!!
To top it all off - my money will not be available until next week. I thought, another savings account at a different bank could not hurt anything - but, I am closing this account as soon as I get my money out of it because a guy named Geren Dalton treated me as if I was dumb!!! I believe Arvest employs too many young people who have no idea what customer service and integrity is all about. I do not see a good future for this bank.

I had to jump through hoops to get a…
I had to jump through hoops to get a debit card that was lost in the mail. The woman I spoke to at the contact center said the card had been returned to them and was shredded. She also said it would be no problem for me to go to my local branch and have them print a new one. I called to verify this with my local branch, and someone who I presume to me the manager said they would not replace for 30 days (it had been 21). I needed access to my money so that I could get back and forth to work, but this man was telling me that I had to wait another week and a half. Basically, I was being punished for the post office's mistake. Only after I threatened to close the account did he agree to have my card replaced. Even after he agreed that I could have a new card printed, the teller I spoke with didn't want to do it, because she was afraid of getting in trouble. The employees seem terrified of management. It was the most horrible banking experience of my life. If it wasn't for how difficult it is changing banking information on some of my important apps, I would close the account and go elsewhere. As evidenced by the numerous negative reviews here, I do not believe this bank cares about customer experiences.
