Gallery here. Been with them 2+ years. In that time, they've now insisted on exclusivity (never agreed to that when I joined) PLUS 10% commission (never agreed to that either). I want to cancel, but apparently I am now (unbeknownst to me) under a 12 month contract? Interesting that they could add in the exclusivity and 10% commission during my "contract"... but I can't get out of it even with new terms???? Constantly misleading contracts and terms. They are totally dishonest about what they provide, what their algorithm does (nothing), and you'll go through a rotating door of surly, underpaid "Partner Support" people. The cost is OUTRAGEOUS for what you get (you get better results from Instagram, at least we do). And then....Try getting out of your subscription, even if it's month to month. They'll tell you there is a "termination fee" which adds to over $1300 in my case. Finally, there is also NO WAY to cancel the subscription on their site (which is now illegal, there must be a button). I don't like leaving bad reviews for companies because I know it impacts them, but Artsy is an unethical, ruthless company. Be warned.

I asked a question about getting control of my name. You sent me a form letter that doesn't address the problem. I am not asking to join Artsy per se. I am asking you to assure me that no one else is representing me on Artsy .

I sold a Damien Hirst painting on Artsy and was very dissatisfied with the post-auction service management, especially regarding the shipping process, the timing, and, to top it off, they charged me extra transportation costs. Terrible customer support, extremely long processing times (they hold the money from the sale of auctioned pieces for over a month), and I will never use Artsy again.

Scary experience I ordered a painting and made payment through wire transfer to Artsy about 10 days ago with order no. 299203112. So far I have not got any shipment confirmation yet. I almost think it is a scam. Reached out to artsy and gallery no solution. Art gallery said they did not receive fund , I wrote to artsy again, it became silent . It is anxious experience not positive at all! Can someone tell me this is not a scam? I spent thousands of dollars on an art piece , it turned out an awful experience. I hope artsy can follow up soon possible to get the shipment done .

I tried to order an item several times and kept and kept getting an error message. I tried emailing the address listed on the app. and my email was returned. I found another email and sent a message. I received a response right away and was asked to send screenshots of my attempt to make a purchase. The rep thanked me and said she would look into it. The next email I received from her asked me if I still needed her assistance. I replied that no one ever helped me and heard nothing back. I don't want the art that badly. This company needs to get its act together.

I feel scammed! I paid thousands of dollars for a piece of artwork that the gallery representatives kept delaying shipping. They reassured me repeatedly they had the piece and would send it soon, but claimed there were some sudden emergencies with the owner of the piece causing a delay in shipment. I was told I would be given a discount for the delay, but I was not. Two months later, I finally received an email from Artsy saying the piece was sold to someone else and that "the hold was removed from my card." Well, it wasn't a "hold". The money was debited as a sale from my bank account two months ago, and I have not yet received a refund or any tangible information about how and when my money will be refunded. What has this company been doing with my money for the past two months??

DO NOT BUY ART from this website! Trust me. I have been an art collector for over a decade and this is by far the worst online shopping experience that I have had. What artsy doesn't tell you is that once you purchased the art, the chances of the work getting to you are long and laborious. If you don't have the patience or the time to track the artwork yourself, it will likely never get to you. They are just a third-party vendor. The artwork is housed with the artist or a gallery. The artist may never even send the painting and the gallery could be keeping the painting for an exhibition. In my case, the exhibition hadn't even started yet and they only informed me that I could not have the painting until after the exhibition after I purchased the artwork. This has happened several times, which is why I stopped buying art from Arsty. You also will be shocked at how much they raise the prices versus how much the artists are getting. Do not trust them! I still don't have the paintings I paid for. It's been over six weeks and the paintings are just now going into an exhibition. Who knows if I will even have them this summer? They purposely keep this information from you and when you ask them about it they blame the gallery. When you contact the gallery, they blame artsy. Its a nightmare!
