Jeg kunne fint fremsøge kendt kunstner, og tidligere salg for denne. Da jeg ville sælge, fik jeg beskeden at kunstnerne ikke fandtes i deres registrer, og derfor ikke kunne sælges. Ærgerligt for alle parter.
Artsy tager tilsyneladende kun et meget begrænset antal kunstnere. Ikke noget for mig, håber det bliver bedre i fremtiden.

Unfortunate and Disappointing Experience
I ordered and paid for a print from a gallery weeks ago now and though it says ‘order fulfilled on my account, I have not yet received my print.
The gallery apparently attempted to send my print to me but said it was returned to the gallery due to an incorrect address. When I called FedEx however, they said the package was sent back to the Gallery because the proper commercial invoice was not attached to make it through customs.
I received prompt communication from the orders support team and then it just stopped. No communication from the gallery or Artsy about the status of my print order and I’m growing quite concerned that I’m not going to receive what I paid for.
The terms of use say if the seller cannot meet an order confirmation within 72 hours the payment taken is automatically refunded to protect the buyer. Despite me waiting over a week with no communication from the gallery after first making the purchase and having to reach out for assistance, this did not happen. That’s ok, I wanted the print, and it seemed like the print was on its way.
The gallery notes the work I purchased as sold but still has not communicated with me about when I’ll receive it.
If this is how difficult it is to deal with purchases through Artsy, I will likely not use again and go directly to reputable gallery sites instead. It’s too bad, the access and interest of the variety or works is fantastic, but I wouldn’t consider making a substantial purchase through Artsy if a simple matter like this can’t be resolved in a timely manner.
The Artsy support team is aware I haven’t yet received my print. Unfortunate and disappointing experience.

BEWARE: NOT TRUSTWORTHY
Update: dealing with these people has been a maddening experience. Dismissive, incompetent, at times clueless even about their own systems. This mis-selling (below), which could and should have been sorted out on the spot, has taken them full 8 months to address, required dozens of emails, and was resolved only when I wrote to the exec chairman. Never again.
-----------------------------------------------------------
I have found Artsy relaxed about fakery and misrepresentation on their platform. My purchase turned out to be not as advertised, and I am still awaiting redress.
I bought what was as advertised as an original, unique painting, by an artist whom I respected at the time. A week after delivery, I discovered by chance that it was neither original nor unique. It was actually a direct reproduction of another artist’s work, passed off as original, with no attribution. I made enquiries with the original artist; affronted, they promptly referred the plagiarism to a copyright lawyer.
It turned out that Artsy's gallery knew the painting was a copy; but, whether by negligence or fraud, had chosen not to disclose this in their advert.
WARNING: Artsy allow their sellers to doctor advertisements AFTER a sale has taken place. As soon as I raised a query, the gallery added a disclaimer about image rights, even though the item was by then marked "Sold". They then refused further contact, and referred me to Artsy’s customer service team. They in turn rejected my complaint, claiming the doctored advert, with the added disclaimer, was the one that applied. Artsy put the onus on me to prove that their listing had been changed.
Artsy continued to fob me off, over several weeks, citing various get-out clauses in their fine print. For example, they refused to investigate the mis-selling because I had reported it 8 days after delivery, not 7. They summarily closed the incident when I mentioned I had made a trivial adjustment to the back of the painting’s frame, because they do not accept returns of ‘altered merchandise’ - whether or not it had been sold by deception.
It was only when I put the prima facie fraud to Artsy’s chief executive, by private email, that they bothered to investigate, and eventually accepted that the sale needed to be reversed. This took weeks to arrange, and is still unresolved.
Multiple errors in basic shipping documentation suggest to me that Artsy do not know what they are doing, or much care. For example, a missing Declaration of Authenticity resulted in me incurring EU import duty at 29% instead of 6%. I find I cannot reclaim this cost because, although the sale was annulled, and despite Artsy’s advertised returns policy, their shipper had declared it non-returnable. Artsy continue to blank my requests for reimbursement, leaving me significantly out of pocket.
I have no reason to think that the copy won’t be put back on sale on Artsy's site under the same misleading prospectus with which it was mis-sold to me. Artsy are either unable or unwilling to give me assurances on this, despite repeated requests.
I dislike giving negative reviews, but do this for the protection of other collectors.

This site will open a lot of pop-up…
This site will open a lot of pop-up windows to make your life miserable. Of course, they think that these are helpful features, not annoyances. These guys have no respect for users. So, don't bother with them. Companies like this just burn VC money, close doors, re-open under different website, raise VC money again and burn it, and so on..

MOST UNPROFESSIONAL INTERVIEW PROCESS I…
MOST UNPROFESSIONAL INTERVIEW PROCESS I EVER WENT THROUGH.
I cannot express how disrespectful and unprofessional this company has been with my interview process.
After 7 HOURS of calls, email exercises, and roleplays (plus all the time invested in preparing for them), they have completely disappeared and ghosted me without giving me any update on the outcome of hiring process, after several courtesy follow up emails due to the radio silence. Not even an auto email.
Not to mention that even though I applied for one role, they tried to offer 2 different roles without a clear structure or list of reasons, resulting in me repeating the same interview with different people within the company.
How a company treats its employees and possible future employees tells a lot about itself, and I consider myself lucky now that I had the chance to see this big red flag about Artsy. You cannot waste people time and make them progress to the next stages of the process without even give them a final response - we are professional and you need to respect the time we invest in you.
To all the reliable and hard working professionals out there, STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY who does not show any respect towards its candidates.

Alessia, we have escalated this internally as we take your feedback surrounding the interview and recruitment process very seriously. This is not the experience we aim to provide to all interested parties. Your feedback will be replied to directly momentarily. Thank you for your patience.
