This was a wonderful way to save memories without all of the paper/bulk. I love having these cards and more preserved so I can read them, without the boxes taking up space. The process went smoothly and I am very pleased with the results. I have already recommended this to several friends.

Don’t get me wrong this technique is great. The advertising however is not great at all. Just know it’s another fee behind the original “sale” or promo price.

To clarify how Artkive pricing works, there are two parts:
First payment: the $39 Artkive Box fee (often discounted in promos). This covers the kit and shipping materials, but it does not include photography, editing, or the book or mosaic.
Second payment: after we receive your artwork and complete the photography and editing, we send an invoice based on how many pieces you sent and what you order (books, mosaics, add-ons). Nothing is printed until you review and approve the preview.
We do try to highlight the second payment at multiple points, including checkout, order confirmations, reminder emails, and the pricing slider linked in the order materials. That said, we hear you. If you’re open to it, our team can review your specific order and make sure everything on your invoice matches what was sent in and selected.

The books turned out beautifully! I was amazed by the level of photography of each piece of artwork. And it was so easy to do. When my girls saw their books they loved them and we laughed and looked at all of the pages with joy!

Very poor response rate
I signed up and paid for the box, but can’t comment on work since not even started . Their response rate is very poor, and the replies I do receive are often incomplete.
I’m generally uncomfortable with businesses that rely entirely on automated customer service, and in hindsight, I should have paid more attention to that. There is no phone number to contact—only email—and it takes a very long time to get a response. If you have a follow-up question, the wait starts all over again. Sometimes there is no response at all, and you’re forced to rephrase your question and open a new case.
This level of customer support is disappointing and not sustainable.

We want to clarify one point because it may not have been made clear: we DO offer phone, text and chat support along with email. The only "automated" support we use is the website chatbot, which can provide quick answers, and you can also request a handoff to a human team member. Beyond that, every email, text, message, and phone call is handled by a real person on our (small) U.S.-based team.
