MK7 GTI FMIC
The intercooler itself is a really nice unit. I got the graphite color and it looks great. It's a little more stealthy than a silver one, but not invisible like black would probably be. The pipes are metal, which is better than silicone, in my opinion. And in the few short drives I've taken so far, it does what it's supposed to do. Temps are waaaay down compared to stock. Unfortunately I think the directions are garbage. You'll need two 13mm wrenches to complete the job, and I found their clamps to use 7/16" nuts, which A) aren't metric like the rest of the kit & car, and B) isn't mentioned in the instructions. There are also 6 plastic pieces that have to be removed that aren't mentioned at all. The pictures they provide could be better and more complete. And my car has the secondary air pump which gets in the way of the drivers side pipe. CTS provides a bracket and bolt to swing it out of the way, but ARM does not, nor do they mention this potential issue. Those details would have helped, but they're not enough to keep me from recommending this FMIC. Overall I'm happy with the end result, and for the price, it's very hard to beat.
