We have purchased furniture from Arhaus since they were founded in the flats in Cleveland - over nearly 30 years. Since then, we have bought thousands of dollars of furniture from them. Unfortunately, we found out that they are not the same kind of company they were back then.
Last year we remodeled our kitchen and our decorator, who also buys thousands of dollars’ worth of furniture from Arhaus every year suggested Gage Faux Leather bar stools for our kitchen counter. They were expensive but they looked great, and we bought 3 of them through the decorator.
Within a year the Faux leather seats started to wear out. My wife and I are not large, heavy people and we have no children living in the house. This seemed totally unacceptable considering their price point. We even tried rotating the three chairs so that we were not always sitting on the same ones.
Our decorator contacted Arhaus and filed a claim to see what could be done to correct this problem. After much back and forth, they were told that the warranty was only on the frame, not the material and so they were not going to do anything to correct (or even investigate) the problem. Just a flat “no, nothing we can or will do”.
Regardless of what the "warranty" says, a reputable company would at least look into the issue and try to do something to satisfy their customers. The costly stools were purchased from what was assumed to be a company who would stand behind their products. We bought them from Arhaus not the manufacturer. We wrongly assumed that Arhaus sold only quality products and that they stood behind the products they sold and more importantly they cared about and took care of their customers and of their reputation. We were wrong! So, no more purchases from Arhaus for us. And we recommend others find alternative retailers for "higher end" furniture. Ones who actually care about their customers. Ones who have not forgotten the importance of customer service, care, and satisfaction.

Order #10A721640
Order #10A721640
I’m very disappointed with my experience ordering from Arhaus. My order arrived missing a chair, and no one has been able to provide an estimated delivery date. The chairs that were delivered look outdated and nothing like the photos online. I wanted to exchange them, but customer service told me I can’t do that until the missing chair arrives—which makes no sense.
I’ve spoken with three different representatives and none of them were helpful or informed. For a company that presents itself as premium, the service has been anything but. I expected better from Arhaus.

Horrible Customer Service. Not worth the frustration.
I had a great experience with Arhaus a few years ago, but this latest purchase has been an absolute disaster from start to (hopefully soon) finish.
The first salesperson I worked with was disorganized and difficult to follow, which made the process frustrating right out of the gate. When I asked for a different sales rep, the next one seemed more interested in pushing the sale through than actually helping me.
I was told the couch would be delivered in 6–8 weeks. That timeline came and went with no update. I had to call the store myself, only to be told there was another 4-week delay. Not once did anyone proactively reach out.
Trying to get help through Arhaus concierge was equally disappointing. Despite claiming a 48-hour response time, it routinely took a week or more to get even a basic reply—if they responded at all.
By week 12, I still hadn’t heard anything. I had to call again, only to find out there was yet another delay. Only after that call did customer service finally respond and offer less than a 10% reimbursement—as if that makes up for the complete lack of service and accountability.
Weeks later, I checked the order status myself and found it had moved into delivery prep. No email. No phone call. Nothing. Just another task for me to chase down. I had to call and pay the delivery balance, and now I’m waiting again for a scheduling call. At this point, I have zero confidence that I’ll receive my furniture within the next two weeks.
If it does finally show up, that will make it a full 16 weeks—twice the delivery window I was promised.
This experience has been marked by poor communication, broken promises, and customer service that borders on non-existent. Arhaus has clearly lost sight of what it means to support customers post-sale.
I won’t be shopping here again, and I’ll actively discourage others from doing so.

Fairy-dust pricing for middling quality
Pricing is absolutely gonzo in the worst way: pure fairy dust, little to do with quality or cost to make, and all to do with online-shopping algorithm.
I acquired (2) Jagger Dining Chairs for a royal, royal fee. When I purchased them (even then priced as if at a discount) they were 699.00. Now they're full price at 479.00. I casually spotted them at everything in between.
The make is decent, sturdy, even comfortable, but not what you'd expect. The cushion is thin and cheap and quickly compresses. The metal-colored arm rests are just that: colored with paint, not metal. Cheap. They chipped almost immediately.
I bought some beautiful, lasting vintage dining chairs, so looked to offload these. I asked for 280 each, what I assumed was truly reasonable and in line with their true value. Not a single bite came above 150 per. The secondary market isn't so stupid as me. Do not buy from Arhaus, trust a fool that's wisened.

Purchased a coffee table from Arhaus
Purchased a coffee table from Arhaus. Within a year, the wood completely began to fall off and peel. Contacted Arhaus multiple times and each time they said that it was wear and tear. I showed them on multiple occasions that the wood trim around the coffee table was completely peeling off of the table. Horrible customer service and even worse product service . They claim to have a five-year warranty on their products and provide quality, upscale furniture, but that is not the case.

Items arrived WEEKS later
Items arrived WEEKS later. No one ever communicated to me. Had to reach out multiple times across multiple different social media accounts to finally get a response. Then the items also arrive in poor quality. Ridiculous. I would never ever order from them again.

Worst retail experience ever
We purchased a bed from the Bethesda store in May of 2024 and it has been a nightmare. Long story short, the bed was just delivered in mid January of 2025. Yes - 8 months.
Arhaus delivered a partial bed to our home in August but only upon unpacking the boxes in the street did they realize that they did not have all the pieces. They had only 2 of 3 boxes. Nonetheless, they insisted on leaving 2/3 of the king sized bed, which is enormous, at our house rather than taking it back to the warehouse and simply delivering it once they had the entire bed ready.
The Concierge Team promised to deliver the remaining piece, which was never identified to us, in a few days. We never heard from them, or Arhaus again.
We had to call the Concierge Team every single day and explain the issue to a new person every time. No one could ever provide any info on the issue or the status of resolving the issue, and it was evident that no one on that support line cared.
Finally a couple of weeks later when we called in they casually informed us that the new delivery date was scheduled— but it was 3 months out-- in November. They provided no explanation for the delay and no apology. Mind you we had fully paid for a bed that had not been delivered so this delay was on our dime. We also had lost use of our garage because we had been forced to store the stupid partial king bed and Arhaus explicitly refused to come pick it up unless we cancelled the entire order. And we were sleeping on the floor at this point because we had removed our old bed since Arhaus was supposed to deliver our new bed in August.
We finally connected with the store manager at Bethesda and she tried to help. She was the first and only person who took the time to tell us what had happened to our order, and to work towards a resolution. Turns out Arhaus failed/forgot to manufacture the last piece of our bed. This entire fiasco was their own fault and their own negligence. She promised us a discount if we kept the order and she kindly arranged for a loaner bed to be delivered. She was very helpful.
Based on her assurances, we decided to wait until November for our bed. Three months later, when the Arhaus warehouse finally called to schedule the long-awaited delivery, another mess ensued. The warehouse said they could deliver the bed, but could not remove the loaner bed at the same time. Essentially we would now have to store the loaner bed and separately arrange for its pick up. Arhaus refused to coordinate the pick ups and left it to us to navigate between the different Arhaus offices and the warehouse, which we already knew was time consuming. We called the Bethesda store for help only to find the store manager that had helped us was no longer there.
We explained the problem to yet another set of people at the store and they promised to help; however it took weeks. The "simple" act of coordinating the simultaneous pick up of the loaner bed with the delivery of the new bed was not accomplished for another five to six weeks. It took until January 2025. The reason we did not expedite the process by accepting two separate deliveries was because we see how Arhaus operates and we knew WE would have been stuck with storing the loaner bed in our garage in perpetuity, right as we cleared out the new bed. Arhaus does not really care about resolving our issues and they will drag their heels because they feel no sense of urgency with any of this.
Finally the bed was delivered in mid January, however we are STILL waiting for the promised price adjustment to be applied to my credit card. They strung us along for literally five months saying that they could not apply the discount until the bed was delivered. The bed was delivered a month ago and they still have not followed through with our partial refund. We have stopped by the store, sent emails and called, but no one has even responded to us — let alone actually provided the promised refund after another four weeks.
There is no reason for us to have been dealing with Arhaus for TEN months on this same issue — an issue that they alone created by inexplicably manufacturing only 2/3 of our bed.
This has been THE WORST RETAIL EXPERIENCE we have EVER encountered. If we could do it all over again, we would have simply purchased a bed from West Elm. After speaking with others and checking online reviews I realize that this is simply how Arhaus operates. We will not make this mistake again.
If you have a year to wait for your furniture or you don't care at all about customer service, then go ahead and buy something and hope for the best. But plan ahead because it is a full time job following up with this company and project managing the receipt and delivery of items that you have already paid in full for.
Arhaus- if you read this-- note that I am STILL waiting for my price adjustment.
