I primarily used this management portal to manage my property and to ensure that my tenants and I could handle monthly rent payments and related documents smoothly. Overall, the platform worked reasonably well, but it suffers from recurring and serious technical glitches. On several occasions, my property disappeared entirely from the system, making it impossible to view current or past rent payments. When this happens, customer support is extremely slow to respond. Even when they do reply, they typically promise that the issue will be resolved shortly, but it often is not. Support is also unavailable during weekends and holidays, which is particularly problematic when issues are time-sensitive. I gave the platform multiple opportunities to demonstrate reliability, but these problems persisted. As a result, I decided to move to another rental management platform with a proven track record. Good luck if you decide to use Apartments.com.

Halon Park Apartments in university area. Do not move here unless you want your apartment or car broken into or you enjoy getting your packages stolen. Of course no one cares in the office it’s not theirs. I will not be renewing my lease.

This company allows apartment management companies to lie about and/or bait/switch apartment prices. Apartments.com should require that management companies actually have apartments available at the prices they advertise. For example, a community will list apartments starting at $1000. But when you actually see the inventory all the apartments are renting for much higher prices, like $1500 or $1600/mo. Even so, the site can give you a good idea about apartment location and amenities. One comment I've seen a few times is that you should always see the actual apartment you're renting before signing the lease; the models can look a lot different than the actual apartments.

Update 2026: Still happening. Apartments.com continues to profile 5 start ratings about certain apartments, but once you click in, you see that this is CLEARLY not the case. Do not be fooled and check reviews on Google and otherwise. Always dig deeper because this is where you and your loved ones will live. Bad management = poor quality of life.

Big corporate trying to take over an industry. I have tried to communicate with a property i am interested in and it wouldnt work. I finally found their ad on Craigslist and contacted them fhat way.

Overhyped on celebrity advertising. Can't trust their "costar rating system" since it's all paid for by the apartment buildings. Their star ratings are bogus and not representative of actual consumer reviews.
