I was lulled into a false sense of high expectations. I actually believed that by listing with Apartments.com that I would get strong exposure to my property in Los Angeles. I used their free listing in the past but now was subject to their exorbitant fees and a six month contract. After two months and not one lead I asked to cancel my contract. They obliged but are now reneging on their previous statements. Also, to note, I wound up listing my apartment with another service and was rented within 3 days. I guess what I'm saying is DO NOT USE APARTMENTS.COM. There are better free services available for mom and pop property owners.

Where do I even begin. It won't accept my normal routing and account number. HOW? I have multiple automatic payments set up on that account. 5 business days to process an ACH debit?? For a RENT payment. Being forced to pay an exorbitant amount of fees for their own folly? Absolutely ridiculous. Not to mention all the bugs that they don't fix.

If I could give Ashford Belmar a 0 I would. This property is not safe because management does not respond. If you want to feel safe and know that management has your back, this is not the place! I was assaulted in the stairwell and the management did not respond once to my complaints over a 6-week period so I had to move out. Parking after 5pm is impossible and you will park almost ¼ mile away and walk. You will not be able to invite friends or family over because there are no parking spaces available. And they will sticker and tow you immediately if you park in any other spaces. I was promised that the skylight and water damage would be fixed when I toured and it was never fixed the entire time I was there after multiple requests and this was a FIRE HAZARD. There was a flood in my apt from the refrigerator WHEN THEY DIDN’T INSTALL IT CORRECTLY, and they never mitigated IT. We had trouble breathing and my dogs were struggling - no response. I have over 10 packages stolen or delivered incorrectly through the Luxor One system. The management does not care about your lost packages. They say it's not their problem. Luxor One consistently did not have footage so your packages and mail are not secure. The worst part is that I had an issue with a downstairs neighbor being very loud, aggressive, and threatening to where we had to call the police multiple times with NO RESPONSE FROM MANAGEMENT after we complained. The portal does not keep record of any of your communication and they will say they never received it. They have lost records of the complaints and they did nothing to mediate or respond to my concerns about the threats my neighbor made of me and my dog being beaten up by my downstairs neighbors - EVEN AFTER WE RECORDED THE BEHAVIOR OF OUR NEIGHBORS, THEY DID NOTHING. I ultimately was assaulted and beaten up by two of these neighbors in the stairwell and I haven’t been back since – AND MANAGEMENT NEVER RESPONDED TO MY CONCERNS ABOUT SAFETY AS I WAS MOVING OUT. Living here was one of the most stressful and traumatic events of my entire life.

apartments.com Allow Scammers BE AWARE!! A nice couple showed up at my tenants doorstep this morning asking for me by name. They shared they signed a lease agreement with me for my back unit and gave a deposit of $1,800.00! THIS IS A SCAM, THEY GOT SCAMMED! Prior to this, I received an invoice from apartments.com for $722.00 for advertising my place. I NEVER advertised my place with them. I called them and they stated I signed a contract. I NEVER signed a contract, my place is rented and I NEVER would have paid anything to advertise my place! The representative told me they would take down the ad immediately. GUESS WHAT? apartment.com did not take down the FRAUDULENT ad, it is still up and running scamming people!

Apartments.com is a haven for scammers to victimize the public. They post listings which state they’re certified. Well then we must ask, “How & Why?”. However, questioning their customer service department can prove futile too. You’re lucky if the responding representative even cares to do anything! Recently, I reported a suspicious “certified” listing. The representative confirmed its legitimacy by stating, “The landlord has advertised many times at their website.” One month later, discovery! A fraudulent listing operated by the so-called “landlord” and “property owner”! The FBI is investigating! Avoid Apartments.com completely! The fact they have accumulated so many poor reviews, is indicative of their unethical enterprise!

I wouldn’t even give them 1 star they are literally collecting money from people and not giving a F if their property managers are responding! So people obviously could set up an account and act like they are renting out to collect app fees and your social security number and never say if you are approved or not, not even a I’m working in your application email came to me. I emailed apartments.com and they said oh you can apply to other properties instead of getting a refund cause we can’t do one but the properties that fit what I need have their own website ask you to pay $60 plus for an application fee plus what I’ve already paid them. These people are truly scamming! The apartment that I applied to have a fake number on there as well

Their overall star system is an outright lie; My apartment complex has all negative reviews, so how is it my community gets all stars as an overall rating? The deceit is so outrageous and obvious.

I was under contract to have apartments.com list our apartments. they reached out to tell me my contract auto renews in 45 days and what my new rates were. I asked them to cancel and they told me I should have reached out 6p days earlier to be able to cancel then informed me if I stopped paying they would turn me to collections. I plan to fight it, but if anyone else has had this issue please file a complaint with your states attorney general for unfair business practices. Then if you are not currently a member do not sign up. I deeply regret it. I am completing my attorney general claim next, as well as better business bureau. It is clear by there scores on here that they are bad news. Do better apartments.com
