I would avoid Anytime Fitness Swiss…
I would avoid Anytime Fitness Swiss Cottage at all costs. They market themselves as a friendly, community-focused gym, but when it comes to cancelling your membership, that quickly disappears. I handed in my notice on the 2nd day of the month, having not set foot in the gym for over four months, yet they still insisted on taking two further monthly payments because of the way they’ve chosen to interpret their notice period. Instead of applying a bit of common sense or goodwill, they hide behind the small print and are clearly more interested in extracting every last pound from members than treating people fairly. It’s incredibly disappointing that customer service ends the moment you decide to leave. The facilities themselves are fine, the gym gets too busy if you want to go at a normal time, but the experience of cancelling highlights their true values. A company that genuinely values its customers would show a degree of flexibility, especially when someone has barely used the gym for months. Instead, the process feels designed to maximise revenue rather than do what’s reasonable. If you’re thinking of joining, make sure you read every word of the cancellation policy, because when you eventually want to leave, don’t expect any understanding or goodwill!
