⭐ Very Disappointing Experience – Not Recommended
I had a very bad experience with this gym. After cancelling my membership, my personal details were passed on to a debt collection agency, and I was charged £100. I found the whole situation extremely frustrating and disappointing.
The staff were unhelpful and unprofessional, and the way this matter was handled was unacceptable in my experience. I expected better customer service and clearer communication, especially after cancelling my membership.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend this gym to others. I will not be joining again, and I strongly advise anyone considering membership to carefully read the cancellation terms and conditions before signing up.

The gym is filthy
★☆☆☆☆
Anytime Fitness in Wauseon is an unacceptable example of poor facility maintenance, questionable cleanliness, and disappointing customer service. The facility is dirty, equipment is outdated and poorly maintained, and restroom ventilation is not functioning, raising serious health and safety concerns.
When all membership dues and additional fees are calculated, the actual cost is approximately $68 per month! Billing practices are frustrating, and Chris Rosene's response to my legitimate complaints has been unacceptable.
At that price, basic cleanliness, properly maintained equipment, and professional customer service should be automatic—not something members have to demand.
Save yourself the frustration and consider Miller's Fitness across the street instead at half the cost and twice the cleanliness with fully updated machines.

Out of touch and zero corporate flexibility for Aussie FIFO workers.
After 13+ years of loyal membership with Anytime Fitness, consistently paying monthly membership fees (even through COVID lockdown) I have officially cancelled my membership.
The owners of the local franchise so wanted to help, but their hands were tied by Anytime Fitness’s rigid corporate membership structures. The Anytime Fitness business completely refuses to offer a genuine, hassle-free FIFO membership tier. Their corporate logic is that because FIFO workers train regularly during their time off a discounted or modified rate isn't warranted. To expect workers to pay full price for 12 months when their rosters physically restrict them from using the gym for half the year is pure corporate greed. The only workaround available is a tedious administrative process of constantly freezing and unfreezing memberships manually, which is capped to six times a year and is in no way fair and easy. The Anytime Fitness brand is fully aware of how big the FIFO community is in Australia, yet they refuse to adapt their payment models or reward long-term loyalty.
I urge any FIFO workers that are members of Anytime Fitness to look into alternatives, as paying $1350 a year for a gym membership you can only access for half that time is disgusting and greedy and loyal members deserve a better deal and better treatment than this.

cant even put half a star…
cant even put half a star unfortunately. The gym spends time and money trying to appeal to new members as no one in there right mind will stay with the gym. The manager at my local mislead me into signing a 12 month contract which has fees if i try to cancel early. The price is bang on average, the gym has necessary manditory equipment that any gym must have. THERES ALWAYS FREE THIS FREE THAT NEW MEMBER GET FREE BLAH BLAH BLAH. wheres the benefits for existing members whove been paying £34 a month for the last however long. there are no benefits aside from 10% off at a few places. Overall the staff are okay and friendly. Its just a shame they have to be so misleading in their wording to try and captivate or mislead newly joining members into signing deals they arent completely aware of. Seemingly the staff are more concerned about decorating the gym with pumpkins and skeletons. Comedically terrible priorities when they could use this money and time to help the gym become better and help out the loyal members. but no apparently halloween decorations are a much better investment to the company because we all know halloween is a really important holiday

Not impressed for $60 a month
Not impressed for $60 a month. There is 1 singular stair climber and it’s not even a commercial one. I mostly go for the tanning but there is 1 standing bed and the bulbs are not that good. Maybe I’m just being picky, but I didn’t come for a whole day- why was the trash still the same and the same spider dead on the floor still there from now two days ago? Inside of the bed is disgusting also. Only benefit- 24/7 access which I have not had any issue with.

Over 10 Years of Loyalty Lost in Five Minutes
I have been a member of Anytime Fitness in Avon Park for over 10 years. In that time, I’ve had different contracts, frozen and canceled memberships, and dealt with different payment arrangements, so I’m very familiar with how the membership process works. I’ve also recommended this gym to many people over the years, including my own spouse.
Yesterday, my spouse went in after money continued being taken from his account even though he had previously gone in and asked to freeze his membership. He was never told he needed to complete additional paperwork or that payments would continue. It wasn’t until he returned yesterday to question the charges that Angelica gave him the paperwork to actually process the freeze.
Because that didn’t make sense to me based on my years of experience with this gym, I went in today looking for clarification. I told Angelica I was so unhappy with how his situation had been handled that I wanted to cancel my membership too. Her response was basically, “Okay, that’s fine,” and she immediately brought out the cancellation paperwork.
What surprised me was the complete lack of concern about losing a customer of more than a decade. There was no attempt to resolve the issue, explain what happened, or see if there was a way to keep us as members.
When I questioned the additional fees and asked to speak with someone above her, Angelica told me, “No, no, no, we’re not doing this” and “We’re not going back and forth.”
I wasn’t trying to argue. I was asking for clarification.
I asked her to contact her superior. She identified Jasmine as her superior and Sarah as Jasmine’s superior, but didn’t provide contact information for either. She also told me that even if she contacted them herself, they wouldn’t respond anyway.
She then told me I could contact someone/something that sounded like “Bandon.” When I asked how to spell it or how I was supposed to contact them, she told me to go on Safari and Google it.
When I continued asking how I was supposed to get my concerns addressed, she said, “Ma’am, I don’t know. I don’t know what to tell you, but if you don’t leave, I’ll get you banned.”
This entire interaction happened within about FIVE MINUTES.
Unfortunately, customer service at this location has become increasingly frustrating over the years. It can be difficult to get someone to answer the phone or even catch someone at the gym, and many payment issues can no longer be handled in-house. Customers are frequently directed somewhere else for answers, which makes resolving what should be simple membership issues unnecessarily difficult.
I didn’t walk in looking for a confrontation. I wanted clarification and, ideally, a resolution. Instead, within minutes, I went from being a longtime customer asking questions to being threatened with being banned.
After more than 10 years of membership and recommending this gym to many people, I’m done. I will be taking my business to Planet Fitness or another gym. I don’t care if I have to drive farther or pay more. I will never return to this location, and I will never recommend it to anyone again.
This isn’t about not getting my way. It’s about how a longtime customer was treated for asking legitimate questions and requesting to speak with management.
It took about five minutes to undo more than a decade of loyalty.
