Anthem uses AI to deny care. Anthem is a greedy evil profiteer. They put profits over patients. Anthem's Healthcare Professionals do not keep their Oath to "Do No Harm" because delaying and denying care does actual harm to real humans! I would strongly advise against this health insurance company. They'll make you stay in pain so they don't have to pay for the surgery that would fix the reason for your pain.

Anthem sucks
Anthem sucks! If you have other options for insurance companies i would stir away from anthem and pay more to save you the headache. They deny claims left and right for no reasons. The customer service departments all auck at their jobs. You can call and be on hold for over 30 min just to get transfered around to each department and then get hung up on. No one knows how to do their jobs so u get bounced back and forth and end up talking to every department they have before u end up getting a 2 min conversation with 0 help. The headache alone trying to get help on ur policy is enough for me let alone all the other reasons they suck. Anthem do better!

I can STILL NOT reach ANYONE at BCBS…
I can STILL NOT reach ANYONE at BCBS Anthem and I live in Arizona. If you try to sign up for "CALL ME" it spins in an endless loop and AGAIN, you GET NOWHERE. If I call the numbers on the back of my card it goes to Luminare Health, the underwriter and THEY Have processed my claim but BCBS Anthem online says it is denied. I am totally stuck and want to cry. Why is ANTHEM so difficult and cumbersome to use, this is truly ridiculous and I NOW SEE why some people go postal due to SOME medical insurance companies. If I could leave NO Stars, I would

Less than 1 star
Less than 1 star. I absolutely loathe this company. It is a despicable, reprehensible company that has made it clear that it knowingly, intentionally, blows off its subscribers and makes life difficult for us. The incompetence is in competition with the dishonesty, especially the offshore call center agents, who often simply disappear or refuse to answer a straightforward question. Trying to get answers from them is like speaking to a brick wall. It is unconscionable to me that the horrible behavior of this company is allowed, with basically zero accountability. Shameful, shameful, shameful.
Why the poor review? Well, for months, I've been trying to get them to follow their own stated rules about my premium, which they keep raising, while breaking their own rules. 50% premium increase in only 6 months. And I have help from the 2nd in command of the state regulatory agency in dealing with them. I just hate this company and am looking for ways to get out and to any plan that is better.

Is there any such thing as a good…
Is there any such thing as a good health insurance provider in USA? No, and Anthem is no acception. They are just clever and criminal in trying to keep all the money for themselves and couldn't care less about their customers. I truly hope that they receive their just reward for what they do. It's reprehensible. I recieved a bill for more than 14k for anesthesiology services for a foot surgery. I called Anthem first, then my doctor's office, then the surgery center, and finally the anesthesiologist directly because she makes herself available for all her patients.
The insurance confirmed I need to pay or file a claim and that my chances were only 50/50 of getting the bill paid. Everyone else said not to worry and that it would be taken care of. They explained to me patiently how it works and alleviated my concerns. They also made me understand that health insurance companies are fake. What they really are is incorporated GREED.

Avoid this unethical company
Avoid this unethical company if you can. Terrible runaround, time wasting, long holds, calls not returned - all in an attempt to get them to correct their own mistake. Website is impossible to navigate, probably because they want to drag everything out so that you won't schedule more health care that they may have to pay for. It is part of my employers insurance plan so I can't just walk away, but I will let our benefits department know.

Zero stars
Zero stars. Had to pay out-of-pocket $4000 for a preventative colonoscopy. They frequently told providers of various services that my deductibles had been met and then would deny coverage resulting in thousands of dollars MORE that I had to pay out-of-pocket. Customer service is especially reprehensible. While explaining my case to a customer service representative, I thought that she must’ve put me on hold, but it turned out: She was actually just not listening!!! At all!!! I asked twice if there was anybody there with no answer and then she was like “oh I’m here. I’m here.” Her only explanation for why they told two different care providers that I had met my deductible was “you haven’t met your deductible.” And then she just went silent as the grave when I presented her with feedback from those providers, and wouldn’t answer any more questions. Including when I asked why different amounts were charged for each session out-of-pocket. Just wouldn’t answer the questions.Their business model is to deny coverage as much as possible and not explain anything when they are inconsistent. National health insurance now. Like any other civilized country.
