Always a horrible experience with Anthem. They never cover any routine costs and always blame the doctor for prescribing tests or procedures that are not covered. It's constant frustration with them. They never help any in any way and always make you go through hoops with claims. It's always a struggle and I would NEVER recommend them.

This company has been tasked with looking after our grassed areas, meadow, flower beds, shrubs and trees. All that I have seen happen is they send 2 men to cut the weed Infested grass. I have sent 3 letters and made one phone call telling them they are not keeping to their contract and the estate is a complete mess. My wife has sent numerous emails, no replies to any of them or to my letters. Thankfully we the residents are now taking action and outing these useless office bods who don’t have the basic skills to manage this contract.

My wife and I were both on Anthem medical and dental for the last few years, but this past year I went on medicare and my wife still has the same Anthem HDP that we had. Every time my wife has her annual In-Network preventive physical and associated blood work, Anthem won't cover the "preventive" associated blood work, until I call and spend hours over many months to get them to cover it. Last year it took 2 months before they finally paid it. Currently, I've been working on this since March 2024. Each Anthem rep agrees that the service was preventative and should be covered 100% and the service provider said they submitted the claim as preventative. After discussion multiple times with Anthem offshore reps, they don't understand the difference between a diagnostic code and a procedural code! I had to explain it to them because they could not find the preventive diagnostic codes prefix with a "Z." Every time I call they say to check back in 30-45 days! When I call back, nothing was done! Meanwhile I keep getting bills for the service that has been covered 100% as preventative care every prior year even before I had Anthem insurance. I've also messaged Anthem on this in my wife's portal and there is no reply or acknowledgement. Paying all the money we do for insurance and considering my wife is very healthy with minimal medical costs is extremely frustrating that I have to spend hours to fight for what should be a seamless process to cover the services we pay for and signed up for. I tried to speak to someone the US, but they told me to keep calling until someone in the US picks up the phone! Ridiculous. I will be filing a compliant with the State of CT Insurance Commissioner and with AccessHealth CT, along with communications to my state reps and local media.

Running low on a prescription medication I reached out to the pharmacy required by my Advantage Plan Anthem BlueCross using an online service called Carelon Rx that is the only pharmacy I am allowed to use. I tried to use the online website and was locked out. I tried to use the phone service method and got some strange individual from a foreign call center and could understand what the person was talking about 2 or 3 times, I tried to use the chat feature and was told that the chat would end if I continued to be "disrespectful" that equated to me complaining about how none of their services worked correctly no matter which way I attempted to contact them. I eventually went back to the phone system I am currently on hold as I write this review to illustrate how pathetic companies have become with customer service and how over complicated things have become compared to direct person to person contact i have now been on a call for over 35 minutes to resolve something that use to take me less that 2 minutes to do by phone using an automated system. When open enrollment begins Anthem and Carelon RX are history I wouldn't recommend either one. I wouldn't even give them 1 star, but it is required they would get a triple 0 rating from me.

Anthem has the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced, bar none. Tried to call them with a simple question about my plan and was connected to a fake customer service rep trying to pitch me some kind of medical device. There was no way out of the closed-loop phone options. Horrible. Should be fined by the Dept. of Health. Avoid.

This company is so crooked they won’t pay any of my bills even tho I pay my premiums but they won’t cover my drs. All of my drs are not taking my plan anymore because they are so hard to get the money out of them. They are scammers and crooks who could care less about us members.

Just a way for crooks like hazelvine to avoid all the legal drama they cause and their negligence! DO NOT sign any agreement with these fraudsters. Started a residents meeting and we can get the costs down to £58 a month, they are asking a laughable £270 a month! £2600 a month to do basically nothing, issues from 10 years ago still not sorted, carpet never changed or washed in 15 years. Absolute crooks, I guess they will have to change their name again soon as I’ve had enough money f being ignored and nothing getting done. We don’t need you so you we will arrange to get it done ourselves.

Absolutely miserable company. Right down in the cellar with the likes of Comcast and T Mobile. Impossible to deal with, impossible to contact a live person. I would never, by choice, deal with Anthem ever again.
