I’m pretty sure that the Anne Selke business declared bankruptcy a year after opening. I’m not sure if Rugs.com is now fulfilling orders or who is, it seems to be anything goes. I was ready to place an order since the Selke website is still up. The order process suddenly reverted to shops.com which was a red flag, and I did not complete my order. These reviews helped me to believe that I made the right decision.

BEWARE! I thought I was ordering a set of towels, not just the bath towel. I was then told they were not returnable. A couple days later I saw the same towels on their website much cheaper. Deceiving website!!!

Annie Selke will suffer serious erosion of market share (online homegoods site) due to low-level/indifferent customer service. I ordered two 10’x14’ area rugs over Labor Day weekend. One of the rugs delivered was not what I ordered. A FedEx pickup and return of the incorrect rug took place on 9/8. Although the rug I ordered is still for sale on the Annie Selke website, customer service reps have informed me that the rug is out-of-stock. So, no rug—andI am still awaiting a credit card refund.

Their customer service needs to get their act together I read a lot of reviews... they have the same opinion... one person says one thing another person says another.. they send you to different departments.it's terrible shop somewhere else

Terrible customer service. They are quick to take your money but not let you know they don’t have the items. When you call them out via chat, customer service wants to lie lie lie. For a company who charges a high shipping fee, you would think they would want to keep customers happy. BEWARE, do not buy from this trash company.

Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever encountered. Order was placed after business hours. The website did not give me an opportunity to update my address. There was also no confirmation page of any kind to review my order. There is zero ability to cancel the order from the website or confirmation emails. I called customer care as soon as it opened the next day. I was advised I was unable to cancel the order as it had already been processed. This was untrue, the item was still sitting in the same order status from the night before. The items had not left the warehouse. No tracking number was created for shipping. I was told I also could not change the shipping address- even though the error in shipping was something on their end. I was told to call back when a shipping label was created from fed ex. I called back a few hours later with a tracking number from fed ex. I was still told the item address could not be updated as it was only the shipping label and the item was not actually in transit. I called back the next day when item was in transit. I was told they would “try to change the shipping address” but it was already in transit and they couldn’t guarantee it could be changed!!!!!!! This is the craziest scam I have ever heard of. I asked repeatedly through the process to speak to a manager. I was told none were available. I was told someone would call me back. After items already in transit a very rude manager did call me back. She advised me there was nothing she could do. I tried to explain I had talked to them for close to three days at this point. She told me that was impossible as they aren’t open on weekends and I must have been talking to the fall center!!!!!!!! What! The call center is not the company. I mean I totally understand call centers are outsourced in 2025. However the idea that the call center conversations don’t represent the business blew my mind. Especially given that it’s the only number to call and when you ask to speak to someone else they tell you there is no one available to talk to you. This manager after rudely informing me there was nothing she could do then told me she wouldn’t take my abuse ( I had admittedly been angry with call center, but when I spoke to her I was very calm.) she was unwilling to even listen to me and then hung up the phone. Beware- this place is awful!

Bought an xs tunic which turned out to be xl. I paid $24.70 plus tax, plus $18.95 in shipping. I sent them photos of incorrect size. They told me they would send me a free return shipping label & refund my $24.70, however, now I see they are charging me a $18.02 HANDLING fee. Refund $8.42! If I don't hear from them soon, this will be a credit card dispute. Looks like I got their attention. I'm getting my $24.70 refund.
