About American Massage Therapy Association

The American Massage Therapy Association is the largest non-profit, professional association serving massage therapists, massage students and massage schools. We are guided by a volunteer national Board of Directors who sets the course for the association. As a member-driven organization, we are constantly in conversation with our members through surveys, phone calls, emails and social media to understand the diverse needs of all of our members and their hopes for the profession. We advocate for the issues important to massage therapists across the country at the federal, state and local levels of government. We promote the health benefits of massage to the public, the health care community and other important groups. AMTA provides its members with the strongest benefits in the massage therapy profession and has been serving our community for over 75 years.

So grateful for y’all
So grateful for y’all! You’ll do a great job! I do need some help. I’m a massage therapist, but I also have a company that employs massage therapists. We currently have 16 and we are growing by leaps and bounds! We truly believe in empowering our therapist to do the best job they can so they can go and power their client and the ripple goes outward. If you have any suggestions for how to get in touch with more therapists in the Birmingham Alabama area, we need more therapists. Any help would be amazing!

We’re thrilled to hear about your success and we’d be happy to help! The AMTA Job Bank is a great tool for finding the right local candidates for your business. If your business is an AMTA Supporting Member you can post for free. We’d be happy to chat with you more about ways to reach more therapists. – Shirley at AMTA

Much appreciated customer service
Much appreciated customer service. Rare down to earth kindness and patience you don't see everyday. If you're ever fortunate enough to have Keisha C. from Chicago take your call you will be refreshed to know that you're in good hands. Made my day:)

Excellent LMT Coverage & Customer Svc!
I've only dealt w/ AMTA since having my LMT license, and, have never had any problems. I'm very impressed w/ how they've been so proactive in contacting us and keeping us informed since COVID-19 appeared on the scene. I'm very happy w/ their customer service and would HIGHLY & gladly recommend them to ANY LMT looking for coverage!

I spoke with Shirley and it was one of…
I spoke with Shirley and it was one of the best customer service experiences I have had bar none, across-the-board in any industry. The professionalism and the way that I was informed about the benefits of being a AMTA member was great, I think she can be proud of her self as a part of the AMTA team and an exemplary example of customer care.
