I would highly recommend AmeriGlide to anyone looking for a mobility lift. Everyone that I worked with was very professional and caring. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Kevin Reese and his son Aiden. Kevin is very knowledgeable about the lift and can answer any questions about the product that you may have. He promptly calls you back and was at our house at the appointed time for instillation. The installation far exceeded my expectation. My father having mobility issues due to bad knees- needed a safer way to get into and out of his house. He not only needed the lift but also a platform with stairs to allow him to gain access to the lift from his back door-this also gives the family the ability to use stairs instead of the lift. We purchased a lift for 5 stairs and then one for 9 stairs in my parents’ house. I installed the lifts myself, age 49, handy, in good physical condition. I also did all the measuring before calling to place the order. The only installation issue I had was with the longer 9 stair lift because it required a two piece track and the joining pegs/extruded aluminum joint did not easily press together like in the installation video and took a lot of not so gentle persuading with a mallet. I was careful when pounding the two pieces together that I was not going to damage the extruded aluminum so that it wouldn’t still be able to receive the end plate. The installation videos are excellent; the instructions on paper are just ok. Both lifts have worked fine since installing them (the 5 stair lift for 12 months and the 9 stair lift for 10 months.)

Customer Service rep was polite and very helpful. Technical support was very patient while waiting on me to get the lift apart and help me quickly identify the problem and get a proper solution.

I installed our indoor stairlift myself, without help, and it went very well. (I am a 68 year old male in decent health.) The product has functioned admirably for the two years we have had it so far, feeling both safe and reliable. The price was right and I found the phone support while I was planning the purchase to be useful and accurate. I will agree with some other reviewers that the remote controls could be better made, but in our situation, we almost never use them.
