Unbelievable
Reception, intake and especailly the pysician were great. The sales experience was not just unsatisfactory. It was actually a disturbing experience. I geve salesperson my 2 pair of glasses, one @$89 and one @$98. And he ran my insurance card, He showed me 2 possible lenses. One appeared slightly larger than the other but essentially I saw no difference, but he referred to one as "gradual". I said I wanted gradual, and not bifocal. He said they were both gradual, so I said OK to the slightly larger one. Then I watched him struggle to use the keyboard and there were long delays and "start overs". He said the system had "thrown him out" and he had to start over several times. I sat and watched him attempt to use the computer for 45 minutes. I said I had to leave soon. I had been there nearly 2 hours, mostly with him. When I said I was leaving, he said OK and he presented me a bill for almost $700. Then he said my choice of "gradual" lens was an upcharge of 300%, around $400. I watched other agents use their screens to process several transactions while he struggled for an hour to close mine. So I wonder if he delayed this thinking that after andhour of waiting I would say yes to the upcharge, just to get out of there. I did not. I said take away the upgrade and asaid, that then he ould have to "start over", meaning another hour of waiting for him to process the transaction. I said terminate the sale. He was very angry and said the exam was $80 if I did not uy the glasses. Suddenly the computer worked smoothly and he voided the sale and gave me a bill for $80. I reminded him of my insurance and he never responded, Just make a quick entry and gave me abill for $0, as my insurance covered the exam. I felt like I had been mugged.
