I was excited to order something with the word “American” in it since I’m excited about supporting American made stuff. My things arrived with labels saying “made in China”. That was sad to me. In addition, I’m a 5”10 female with very long legs, and the jumpsuit I got is SO LONG that even in heels it’s WAY too long. I thought I had finally found a company that made just the right length. But alas, they’re just like eveyrone else: instead of realizing every human is different and needs custom sizes and lengths, they assume the length should be “fill in the blank.” The idea of this business is a good one, but the execution is lacking.

*Update* They waived the return fee after this review. I didn't bother purchasing another pair in a different size due to this experience. Upgrading them from a 2* to 3* review. I have very tall people in my family and decided to order PJ pants for three of them. First order ever. Fyi: Return/exchange policy: return for a $9 fee or exchange for the same product for free. One of the 3 PJ pants did not fit. I wanted to exchange for a different size. The colour I bought was not available in the new size. I contacted them to request a new size in any other colour. They refused. Said I would need to return them item (ie. pay the $9 return fee) and make a new purchase for the correct size in the new colour. The rigidity here seems unreasonable. We are potential lifelong customers of American Tall due to having extremely tall people in the family (6'3, 6'4, 6'10) ... and they lost me on my first purchase with this one interaction.

Nice product but terrible return policy. As a tall person it is so hard to try on clothes in stores as they are not in physical stores. Was so happy to find a store that carried tall sizes but very disappointed the charge for returns. American Tall should rethink this policy and shorten return timeline if necessary but to charge 9.00 on a 40.00 item is simply poor customer service.

The clothing I've bought from this company has arrived without issue, but I am unable to leave a review on their website. I've tried several times from different web browsers and the UI to submit a review simply doesn't respond. This leaves me unable to leave a critical review of some clothing I purchased.

Updating my post, since I was finally able to get in touch with someone. I’ve received my order and the dress is absolutely perfect! Can’t advise on the quality of their clothes because I still haven’t received the items i paid for. I received an email over 10 days ago that my items have shipped, but it’s still showing the carrier is waiting to pick up the package. So it looks like they just created a label and it’s still sitting there. It’s impossible to talk or email with someone at this company and it’s looking like I am going to have to dispute the charge on my credit card. Super disappointed, as I was really excited to try their clothes.

I ordered some shirts after triple checking whether there would be any issues with customs. They had highlighted on multiple pages that the deliveries in North America are not subject to any additional fees, only potentially some local tax. Lo and behold, the parcel arrives in us and the price for customs is more than 200% of the price I paid. I tried contacting customer service- online chat was useless and they don’t even have anybody monitor it. I sent an email as well- no reply. I’ve reached out to my CC company and arranged for a refund. I suggest steer away from this scam. Update 05/15/25: They replied to my email stating that they can reship it or issue a refund. Could be because I refused the delivery, or because my CC company has begun the process of dispute. Either way, I suggest avoiding until they sort out their customer service and duties. Update 6/18/25: I finally received all of my money back. Nadia has been helping me out through the whole process (which was lengthy and complicated, apparently due to the fact that I started the dispute through my CC provider and the fact that they carry out their transactions through Shopify). I’ve decided to change my rating as it definitely is a legit website, and I believe that it was a one-off accident due to the current political climate. I’m not sure if I will risk buying stuff from them again, potentially one they have things figured out.

I will have to say I love the clothes but lately not receiving orders and long ship time not sure if I will be otdering.in the future jg

It is great to find shirts that fit properly with sleeves that are long enough. The return/exchange process is very easy. Often I need to try a few sizes to find the right fit (there does seem to be some inconstancy). I'd recommend American Tall to all tall folks. Especially slim and tall with gangly arms...
