Dishonest, lying, cheating, and ZERO customer service. If you have an issue, you're hosed. I ordered pants, but they didn't fit well. I returned them promptly to get a refund, which their website promises. They claimed I would get a refund, but they only gave me store credit. Then they refused to correct their mistake. There is no customer service phone line or even a chat. You can send an email and they may respond eventually. Pathetic. Save yourself a headache and buy somewhere else.

My sister bought a Christmas present from American Tall (AT) in October 2022, and forwarded the package to me in December shortly before Christmas. The items were the wrong color. AT's automated customer support system said they were not returnable after 30 days. All I wanted was the correct product, not a refund, but the system took me around in circles. The company website has no email address or phone number. All support is filtered though "Jen Small" (the personification of their chat-based support). There was no opportunity to describe the situation. The system offers limited (check box) responses to their questions, but if none of them apply you reach a dead end and are sent back to start all over. I wrote a detailed email with pictures and explanation of why I wanted an exchange. I sent it to the only email address I could find - the one on the original order confirmation. It was rejected ("the email address you’ve responded to is only used for outgoing messages"). Ironically, that address is "support(at)americantall". I tracked down their phone number in Canada, but their voice mail greeting does not identify their company. I left a message-request to talk with somebody in customer support, which was ignored. There is no mechanism by which a customer can talk with a human. Their virtual robot support system is woefully inadequate, conscriptive, and downright infuriating. There's nothing virtuous about it. After a few days, my sister and I were eventually able to trick the system into allowing us a return "ticket". After three weeks, AT did ultimately issue an exchange . The clothes themselves are high quality in materials, finish, and fit. But the company's myopic and dysfunctional support dissuades me from ever buying from them again. Their final aggravation was to request my feedback, to which I responded, but was denied, because the "request is now closed." American Tall? Never again.

NO CUSTOMER service. Impossible to return items that are not sized right. Can only talk to a robot who can only understand very few words. Avoid this company - IT IS A RIPOFF.

NO Customer Service. They have crafted fetching emails then send the replies to an unattended email box. The Jen Bot is infuriating. No phone number no email address. I bought a gift card for my son. 200 dollars down the drain I am much afeared. I wish I had read the reviews before I ordered the gift card.

Less than one star Absolute worst customer service - actually they never responded they hide behind automated torture menu to wear you out big giant loop of questions. no humans - no phone number- support email never gets response ........ RUN AS FAST AS U CAN - their are other stores on the planet.

I ordered a pair of pants from the American Tall website, size 34x36. Upon receiving the pants, they were very nice, but too big. On their website and email flyer, they have printed "EASY RETURNS" in all caps, so I initiated a return on their website. After entering my order number, the website responded: "This product is not eligible for return." I thought this was a mistake and contacted them. But instead of an "easy return" like you'd expect on Amazon, they wanted me to measure the pants and show them photographic proof. I measured the pants, which were a size 36 even though they were labeled a 34. After a few more emails, I was told that the product was a clearance item, which is why it didn’t qualify for a return. I was surprised I hadn’t seen this warning anywhere. After some searching, I found the warning on their website which was listed at the bottom of their checkout page, which isn’t even visible on my browser. Regardless, the item was not the size that was advertised, and it should be replaced at the very least. They said there was nothing they could do, so I asked to speak to their manager. I was then contacted by another agent, who continued to explain that I could not exchange the product, even though they admitted the product was mislabeled. At this point, I reminded them of their mission statement on their website… "We want you to love our clothing as much as we do. If you're not completely satisfied with your purchase, please let us know immediately and we'll do everything we can to make it right." I told them I was obviously not satisfied, and asked for a refund. This had been going on for a month now and they still refuse to give me a full refund, so I wrote to the CEO of their company, Jake Rajsky, who never responded. I've since written to the BBB for a resolution.

Terrible customer service. Inconsistent sizing. No after sale support. Trapped me with a 'free exchange.' Clothes still didn't fit and would not refund money.

The after sale service is totally not cooperative. We had an issue with delivery but they refuse to contact UPS and will let the problem die. I spent 300€ for nothing. Worst buying experience ever.
