Very quick easy and informative!

I like that you review all the information for each renewal. Things/situations can change a lot within a year. For example, I have dealt with 2 of my siblings dying this past year. My mother (93 years old) has dementia and is in hospice at the nursing home (I go everyday to be with her and help when I can). And, I recently lost my fiancé and had to make arrangements for everything for the funeral including his cremation since none of his family would help because they didn't "care for him because he was a loser, and can rot in hell." I know this is going to continue to be stressful for a quite awhile, but I'm doing the best I can. Anyhow, the application review went quickly. The processing time was extremely fast, and the service has been wonderful. The staff whom I spoke with prior to this were very helpful and professional... they show that they care for people as well as pets.

Very simple to use website and overall good experience working with ASP.

I was referred to American Service Pets by a friend who lives in the same building. Several years ago, this process worked for her. I'm rating this company one star because I had to call in several times to make sure my documents were even looked at. My building requires a form along with the ESA letter. I received the ESA letter, but going through the additional process of getting my building's forms filled out is taking an excessive amount of time (weeks). The doctor told me to email the documents over to American Service Pets, and then from there, I heard nothing. I reached out to the doctor and he said to submit again, and I did. I called in to American Service Pets and a representative said I had to fill out a HIPAA form, apparently that was the reason why my documents were not processed. Okay, I can do that, but why was that not provided for me or mentioned prior to me calling in to follow up? Then she mentioned it was an extra charge for the building's form, which I said okay to. Same day, I submit my building's form (again, for the third time now), the HIPAA form, and the extra document fee. The rep said it will take 48 hours for me to receive the form back. I wait the 48 hours, constantly checked my emails and I see nothing. I call the next day to follow up. Another rep that picked up the call this time mentioned nothing was on my file except my payment- meaning, nothing was uploaded and my form that I sent over three times already was not in the system. Why did it take for me to call them to push the envelope? I asked if there was a supervisor that can clear this up because this was getting pushed back onto Week 3 now and the rep said their supervisor is in meetings until the rest of the week from morning to evening and will not be able to speak to anyone (I smell BS). Overall, I've spoken to at least 4 different phone reps and waited weeks to get one building form signed and noted. I paid without hesitation to expedite the process and now I'm being pushed back to the next week to POTENTIALLY get this form signed. I do not have high hopes in seeing my form come back next week as I'm constantly finding out in each and every call that there is something new that's happening on their end. The process is not clear, and the customer service reps constantly bring in new information for me to believe they are incompetent. From me not receiving the HIPAA form that was holding back my application, missing documents I've submitted to them three times already, finding out that nothing was on my file except for my payment, an avoidant supervisor that won't speak to customers, customer service reps that do not follow up, and no reassurance from anyone at this company, I highly stand on the ONE STAR review I'm leaving until further notice. UPDATE: A supervisor from American Service Pets' reached out to me and I discussed all the issues prompted in this review (please see above). She issued me a refund as I've put in much work of my own to make sure my documents came back. All in all, the supervisor (I don't know if I can put her name, but she was very warm and receptive of what I had to say) reassured me that she will be there to further assist me if anything comes along, which I greatly appreciate. Thank you to that supervisor who took the time to work out a solution for me.
