I've been buying from American Musical Supply for several years now. Over a half-dozen guitars. I have never had a problem. Their staff have always been friendly, professional and helpful. The return policy is fast and simple. And you can't beat their payment plans. I'll continue to shop at AMS as long as I'm still making music.

I ordered a DRS bamboo guitar rack from AMS at a fair price that included free shipping. It arrived two days later (on a Sunday) and when I unpacked it I found some not-too-serious damage to the stand. In spite of this, I wanted to keep the stand if possible, so I contacted AMS and within a few hours they got back to me with a very fair partial refund offer which I was happy to accept. I would be pleased to do business with them again.

I have legitimately purchased over $6k with this company. I bought a PRS CE semi hollow, dean ml, Jackson Kelly, Freidman jj junior, antelope audio duo modeling mic, guitar cases, etc. I have over two years of doing business with this company. My credit is not good and sometimes I made late payments. This company has never harassed me and has been good to me. Anytime I overextended my credit of $3k they sent an email and asked to negotiate more down or just pay more on existing items. Everything I ever ordered arrived on time. Their customer service always was knowledgeable and polite. Anyone saying it's a scam, is lying. I could take screenshots to prove my past with this company. They're consistent and honest. I will always support them. Without them, I would not have the gear to keep my passion as thriving. Reply to this review and I'll happily prove all that I'm stating.

I wasn't sure if AMS was a reliable Recording Equipment outlet, but I still took a chance on them, and I'm so glad I did. Everything I need they have In Stock, and I usually receive my Gear in 1 day. I have spoken to their Costumer Service department and they were helpful every time. Because of their professionalism and product availability, I have become a loyal costumer for all of my Recording Studio Equipment.

I do not know why this company has such a low rating as I personally have had nothing but great customer service from them. Now I did run into s small problem with my last order but that was an issue with a scratch and dent item being ordered and sold to someone else, (a who gets it processed first gets the item type of thing) which happened 2 times on an item I was trying to buy but...the CS rep let me have a brand new one for the same price so, you can't tell me they don't try to work through issues with their customers. My only complaint with that particular, is that I did not know that this was an issue till I called when my item had not shipped and was then made aware that my order was snatched up by someone else. That would be my only complaint with them and I plan on addressing this with the higher ups to make them aware of that particular hiccup and perhaps find a way to fix it. The other thing I really really love about them is they will let you make payments on items which is the only reason I have been able to afford some fairly pricy equipment and get my musical arsenal to the point it is now. My hat is off to them for that attribute alone. My point is I think their customer service is quite good and they really try to rectify problems but... you may need to alert them of or let them know there is a problem, after you do then your off to the races. I’ve bought several pieces over the years from AMS. They always have great advice when needed, and aren’t pushy when ordering. It seems the sales staff are all professional musicians in one field or another. I’ve always been confident that I’ve purchased the correct gear for my needs and they will stand behind their stated warranties. I’ve been to the brick and mortar music stores in the past. I’ve had salesmen there that were drummers trying to push high end synths on me without a clue of the functions a synth has to offer, they reeked of commission salesman. It’s why I’ve only trusted AMS with my purchases. Their inventory is spot on and shipping has been lightning fast. The thing that impressed me most was their after the sale support. I had a few questions on a piece I had recently purchased. I called back my sales person and he was more then happy to walk me through my questions. As technical as some gear can be, that kinda support is invaluable. I look forward to doing more and more business with AMS as my home studio expands. Thank you AMS!

Bought a Marshall half stack. Came quick with excellent customer service.

My experiences with AMS have all been positive. On larger items they've always given far better discounts than Sweetwater by a lot. I've had several transactions that have been great. That being said I've never had to return anything but, I've never head to return anything. That works two ways. So far so good.
