We rent RVs from both ADV Houston and Boerne two or three times a year. They are definitely the best we have found with respect to keeping up with the maintenance and keeping the units clean. Reading some of the negative reviews it seems some have unrealistic expectations and a few have just had some plain bad luck. If you are renting before a holiday weekend (Memorial Day, Labor Day, etc.) where all of their inventory will be going out, your experience will be much better taking the unit on the Thursday before rather than waiting until Friday afternoon or evening. RVs are complicated vehicles and things can go wrong. To mitigate this they check all of the RVs features when they come in, and they run through all of them with you before you leave so you know how to work them and to confirm they are functioning. We think they do a great job and we plan to keep using them.

Its too high for rental...and most of the RV s have problems

I have rented two times from American dream vacations. First time the electric awning didn't work during the demonstration of RV at checkout. They got it to work, but when i arrived at my destination it didn't work and i couldn't get it to work. Response when i got back was sorry but nothing to be done about it. Second time i rented a RV, when i took back the RV i meticulously cleaned it and still got a charge for cleaning. I have reservations about renting from them again. I will probably look elsewhere.

The overall experience was ok and the RV unit was clean and comfortable but after spending almost $10,000.00 on my rental, I was surprised with an additional fee of $1,700 for repairs to the exterior. I was not contacted nor informed prior to the repair authorization and it appears I was caught in the middle of a dispute with a problematic owner and the store owner. I had no choice but to pay the additional fee and I had no prior notification of any other repair options, if any. I don’t think I was treated vert well considering my sizable rental payment and the bickering between the RV owner and the store owner cost me money.

There were a few problems at pick-up and return. For example, the Class C unit we rented did not have a sewer discharge hose or adapter on board (a failure of the crew at turnaround from the last rental). We purchased one while on the road, and were not given credit until six months or so later, and after repeated inquiries. The unit was in pretty good shape, though we did some on-road repairs (including to a slide-out switch that threatened to strand us many miles from assistance). The whole experience seemed rather lacking on the customer service side of things.

We rented in the summer of 2016 for a guys trip. Making the reservation was easy, the price was competitive, and they made sure I had a good understanding of operating the RV (1st time for me). Definitely would recommend.
