Extremely poor customer service and they scammed me. I signed up for a plan on November 13th and paid at that time. They sent me a card with my insurance active as of Nov 1. BUT they also cancelled my plan on Nov1 for non payment, then applied my payment to a 2025 plan that I didn't even sign up for. They took 2 payments from me before notifying me that I never had insurance. Brokers, please stop selling this insurance it is a scam.

I would give zero stars if possible. So many problems. Terrible customer support. The providers that are listed that are supposedly accepted … most of them are not. Seems like a scam at this point.

Do yourself a favor and go with a real insurance company, currently dealing with a lawyer because of bad practice here. If I were you I’d go without insurance before I paid these people my hard earned money. This place is disgraceful, goodluck pressing 1 for English to be sent to someone you can’t understand at all.they have lied, changed my plan without my knowledge and cause me and my family a whole bunch of un needed stress.My premium has changed 6 times since signing up. This company is low grade with horrible costumer service and service in general.Literally the worst people I have ever dealt with. If you have a problem here your on your own.

If I could give this company zero stars I would. After speaking to the customer service team today, I would not recommend this insurance to my worst enemy. The first time I called the man I spoke to put me on hold for ten minutes and then hung up the phone call. I know he did this because instead of just disconnecting like it would if the call was dropped, it sent me to the survey portion at the end of the call. The second time I tried to speak to someone about my issue not only was there a lot of miscommunication, but the woman was extremely unhelpful as well. I asked over and over to speak to a supervisor and was told over and over again yes of course but then she would ask more questions “trying” to help me. After finally demanding to speak to a supervisor she told me “not at this time” and continued to try to ask questions. When I told her I did not want to continue this conversation and wanted to know why I couldn’t speak to a supervisor I just got silence on the line. When I told her I will not continue this conversation I want to speak to a supervisor and you should be able to tell me why I am not able to there was more silence. The silence continued for a couple of minutes where I’m guessing she didn’t want to hang up but was unwilling to help me. She finally put me on hold and sent me back to the main line where I was on hold for ten minutes waiting to speak to someone, only to find out it was not the main line she had transferred me to, but to the marketplace who had nothing to do with my problem. Literally the worst customer service of my entire life and honestly the coverage sucks too. Everything I needed was either not covered or “covered” but EXTREMELY expensive. Zero out of ten. DO NOT recommend.

Paid for healthcare. They had no record. Even with my records showing payment, it took hours and days and STILL not fixed. Extra time lost through broken english.

I don't normally write reviews but I feel like I have to warn people about Ambetter. They are the worst health insurance company I have ever been a member of. Specifically their customer service is horrible. I mean no disrespect at all but I genuinely can't understand their customer service agents. They don't speak clear english and I can't get through a full conversation with them because I can't understand them. Every time I ask to speak with a supervisor I get disconnected. It is so important to have good customer service in a health insurance company. I have been paying $800 a month for a prescription drug they told me is covered but it actually isn't. I haven't been able to figure out a better solution because their customer service is terrible.

Amworst. Trouble started when I moved across country. I had to call SEVERAL times to get my bill straight as they were billing me for policies in two different states. After hours on the phone over several weeks they finally seemed to have it straight. Now I am on the phone again because they messed up my autopay enrollment and canceled me. Apparently I am now no longer eligible for reinstatement.. In the last two years I have spent well over 10 hours on the phone with them and they audited my billing twice to try to straighten out their messes. In fact I just called they said I needed to talk to sales and transferred me. Sales put me on hold and transferred be back where I had to explain my situation for a third time today and hung up on for the second time today, still with no resolution. I don't know anything about their coverage but their customer service and billing/accounting are a hot mess.

I have had Ambetter health for three years. It started as Medicaid Sunshine health and when the adjustments happened I switched over to Ambetter commercial side. That's when it went to absolute crap. I have never had such a hard time finding a provider, using their recommendations and website. I called about 10 places that was listed under their website, and some didn't take my insurance, others were full, and there were some that did not exist. Making appointments with the providers that did take me was hell, wouldn't be for at least a month out or I was playing phone tag between providers and insurance. Recently I got pregnant and that's when I had enough. I went through 40 providers THAT WAS IN AMBETTER'S DATABASE NETWORK to find a provider that would actually take my insurance. After my first prenatal visit the provider called me and said that Ambetter was refusing to take the bill and fighting about coverage so she was afraid I wasn't able to continue with her. Afterwards took another 5 more phone calls to finally find another provider and they wouldn't see me with out the insurance permission and transfer of records and I was back to playing phone tag until a month of this the provider finally called me to let me know they couldn't take me. After Ambetter found out I was pregnant my insurance premium climbed to 500 a month on top of additional copays for every visit. For what? And I had an adjustment added of 200 for December to pay when it was only November 10th when I called to ask why the adjustment they said "the benefits coverage", were very vague with me. So I finally canceled because I don't understand why I would pay $500 a month and separate copays for mental health, PCP visits, required ultrasounds, medications, ER when NO PROVIDER WANTS TO TAKE ME. There are no benefits, you are just being taken advantage of by this point.
