They deny everything. I was diagnosed with cancer, but the biopsy to diagnose it? Denied. When the biopsy started hemorrhaging and I had to have a blood transfusion so I wouldn't die? Denied - not medically necessary. Deny, deny, deny. So if you want to pay a bunch of money for nothing, get Ambetter. I gave two stars because thankfully the hospital keeps fighting the denials, and some of them have eventually been paid. But everything is a battle just to get them to do what they were hired to do.

There are no terms prohibitting cancelation of a policy but apparently they don't have any procedures for allowing customers to do this. I spent over 30 minutes on hold and didn't get anything but a bill after they were put on notice of my desire to cancel the services a month prior. I would not recommend their services to anyone after this experience. Their representative transferred me to my states Medicare department which was completely improper. Their own people do not know what they are doing and that much is clear.

They are not even worth 1 star High copays and very poor customer service . I have been waiting over a month with muptiple calls to them to reopen my health rewards card so i can use my $75 in rewards to pay my bills and keep getting a runaround everytime i call . Takes for ever even to get the rewards added to the card . Everytime you call them it is a different story why it is not done claim to put in a ticket to resolve it and never do. Dome of them are even very rude when you talk to them and very uncaring about your problems or health . I am a cancer survivor and had to wait over 2 months for them to authorize my test i could be seen by my doctor. Told them that it was an emergency and they didn't even care

If I could give Ambetter zero stars I would! I pay over $1000.00 a month for my premium. I am not on Medicaid but apparently as of June 2026 my physical therapist no longer excepts my insurance because it's billed through Medicaid. I've been going to the same PT practice for years & I familiar & very comfortable there. Now I have to switch locations which I'm NOT happy about! There are several issues besides this. Their physicians list for in-network is not updated, so when you do a search there are several physicians that are no longer in network & the ones that are in my opinion are inadequate & lame. We get the bottom of the barrel. Customer service is SO frustrating!! I cannot understand them, they talk to fast & they can't provide me with a specific answer to a specific question regarding my coverage. I will NOT re-enroll with Ambetter in 2027. I'm struggling every month to pay my premium for sub par coverage & physicians that are far & few between.

Cannot believe this is the only other option on healthcare.gov for insurance. The doctors I have were flagged as valid for this insurance. It's $500/month and NONE of them are covered. The website crashes every time I try to log in, I've waited months for them to respond to an email that they need to have accurate doctor information and still no reply. RUN from this company.

I pay over $200.00 a month through the marketplace to this insurance company and they will not cover my medication because they think it is for weigh loss. Well it is for health reasons and they still say NO.

Worst insurance

This was hands down the rudest and unprofessional insurance company I've ever spoken too. All I requested was a copy of my tax form. 1095A form for my taxes . You would think it would not be. A problem, think again they down right refused to help me. None of them can speak well enough to even understand a word they say . They are the Worst health plan customer service in America!!!!
