What’s not to like?
I started going here because they were easy to get to—no driving or parking downtown. But they gradually became my go-to ski shop. Knowledgeable people who are happy to take the time to talk and answer questions, excellent service, good prices, a decent web interface. What’s not to like?

When I first started coming to Alpine …
When I first started coming to Alpine Shop a youth rate for a lease package of skis was moderately affordable and now my kids are still only in junior high but the price is astronomical because they fit into adult ski packages skiing is expensive my son loves skiing he would every day of his life if it was affordable this will be the first year that we probably won't even be able to afford the lease package he wears a size 13 man's shoe or more so the prices are just Out Of Reach. Vermonters should be able to ski in Vermont and have it be affordable thanks for listening

Diane, thank you for your feedback and we do empathize with the expense of participating in this great sport. Our adult full season lease package (skis-boots-bindings-poles + unlimited free ski tunes all season) is only $189. This price has only increased by $10 in the past 10 years. Plus, it includes some free lift tickets and store discounts. Our kid's leases are just $99 and that price hasn't changed in over 22 years. We do this to make the sport more affordable for families. This is easily the best overall value you could find and we take great pride in being able to offer this service to our Vermont community.

Great staff, but lacked in women's snowsport clothing.
Good range of items and the staff were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. However, they lacked in the women's department when it came to snowsports and the computers were very slow.

Paula, thank you for your great and helpful feedback. As a "city" ski shop we start selling our women's snow sport clothing in August. November had an unusually high burst of sales in women's outerwear so while we still have a very good selection (and some more still coming in), this may account for your observation. By the way, nearly all of our computers are brand new this season but we have had some recent issues with Comcast. Seems to be ok again! Thanks again for your support of Alpine Shop.
