The only good experience I had w this joke of a place was w Rafid A. Rafid was so kind and professional and tried to keep me and my husband calm after a giant mess the useless woman who was my contact person before RafidA. Thank Goodness for Rafid! Alleviate is lucky to have him as I felt much safer in his hands after the mess up that the name I won’t say. She was right before Rafid. She almost had me owing the IRS almost 30k due to her brainless mean and nasty work ethic! Rafid was wonderful though First let me say that once the tax preparation people got the correct information , they fixed the giant mess that the miserable and unprofessional woman caused for us by giving seriously wrong information to the tax preparation team, they fixed it when I saw she didn’t put certain income in the correct place for tax preparation guy! She was rude and unprofessional! Thank God for Rafid A and the man Macaneany and other tax experts and lawyer. Thank you RAFID

UPDATE 13th January 2026 Alleviate have contacted me and we are resolving the matter and I'm happy that they charged just for the initial consultation. Good customer service. ********************* basically you tell them your tax situation which they call “discovery” then the get their “experts” claimed they were tax attorneys to call you within 7 days. Derrick Gibson called me straight away and appeared to have all my transcripts and that he had spoken to the irs about my back taxes and that I would probably qualify for fresh start . It was going to cost me $18k for what appeared to be $80k in back taxes. He said due to the severity it would be good to get their team working on it straight away and what could I pay I told them I already paid some money to the irs and all I could do was $500. He said no problem these take 8-12 months and we would do a payment plan and to expect the documents come through. Nothing came through neither anything on the discovery so I still didn’t know what I really actually owed. Then on 25th December I get a simple text demanding $18k in full. Their website says you do not have to agree to go to the second stage and I never signed anything asking them to go for the second part. Derrick Gibson charged my card $500 anyway and said I can’t get it back because I decided against using them. I’ve had to let my bank know and I should be able to get my refund tha way. These people prey on desperate people who owe a lot of money and afraid of the IRS. I got more done in 30 mins with an HR BLOCK master adviser than I did from alleviate and they haven’t charged me yet! I only need to pay $350 for itemized filing and they will also be able to help me with the back taxes and getting on the fresh start program. They are not charging $18k and tell you the truth and upfront. Alleviate focus on your fear and desperation to get your month they take your card number and start charging at will.
