I signed up for Alleviate tax and they charged me less than $500 to try and help assess my tax problem that I needed to get handled… and then sent me a letter saying they declined my situation cause my credit score was too low. my taxes got messed up for a few years because I chose to work for DoorDash, and alleviate did issues with the promise that they would be able to assist me further if I continue to make more payments towards them $200 a month, which I literally could not afford to do.. My credit score was destroyed by Santander in an auto loan issue. I think it was kind of messed up that Alleviate tax charged me close to $500 before telling me they couldn’t help me.. I would like to see some of that money back because that money could’ve gone to Santander and a few other bills I needed to handle, including back taxes i am trying to solve. I’m just saying to warn anybody and everybody to stay away from this company cause they will rip us off.

Worse experience ever. First I was over charged. They said $5000 and it was $6558.88. And they did absolutely nothing to reduce the amount that I owed. Basically everything they did I could have done on my own was pretty much what I have had to do. Told me that my payment to the IRS would be $1099 per month. Only thing they did was take my money and said I would have to start making payments after they closed everything. A 6 month extension was all I got. And I tried several times to cancel their service but they said I had a contact with them and I couldn't cancel their service. I found them to be totally useless. I would advise people to avoid them.

If I could give 0 stars, I would! You should alleviate your application with Alleviate Tax! I ended up paying Alleviate more per month than I PAID THE IRS!!! When my plan was ready last year, my loan rep, Bryan LeRodriguez, pressed me to make a dollar amount to pay the IRS while I was at a national convention last August, when I explained to him several times that he would need to await my response when I returned home a few days later! I was still pressured to make a decision! That made me angry. When I asked for a supervisor, I was always re-routed to my so-called rep Bryan! Alleviate Tax only wants your hard-earned money, and they'll show they truly DON'T care!!!! If I had it to do all over, I would contact the IRS myself and negotiate like I'm doing now!! Don't waste your money with Alleviate Tax!! :-(

I have asked repeatedly to stop the unsolicited calls , I have NEVER reached out for services and cannot get your representatives to quit calling me , I WANT THE CALLS TO STOP , NOW

This company is a scam!!! I asked several times if they would be able to help me with my taxes. I was guaranteed they would be there to help me with my tax issues. I asked if they could do an amendment and was offered a CPA, tax attorney etc…. I already had a tax advocate and was told to stop contact and they would take care of everything for me 10 months later I was in a worst position. Owing more to the IRS I have send emails along with several phone calls and no response from them yet. I could go on with more details on how I was treated. I have had several case workers and to my understanding all of the caseworkers have been promoted. So every time I would contact them it was always a different caseworker. Asking for a supervisor is also like pulling teeth.With my experience I would say stay away from this company!!!!

Alleviate Tax is a scam. They assure you that they can get a better resolution for you then what the IRS has offered because they have these experienced tax experts on staff as part of their team, and they are not able to deliver. They require you to pay for the services, in my case $4,000, before they even know what resolutions they will be able to obtain. Do not be fooled by the reviews on their website. Read the complaints on the Better Business Bureau website. They use the same tactics to mislead customer. I wish I had read the BBB complaints on this company first. This is a lesson well learned, to read the complaints on a company first. Reviews on the company website can be fake.

Extremely Disappointing and Pushy Experience My experience with Alleviate Tax was extremely disappointing. From the very first conversation, the sales representative came across as pushy and borderline dishonest. Despite me clearly stating that I don’t sign documents without reading and digesting them first, he insisted that he could not send blank paperwork —claiming their system didn’t allow him to send it otherwise. He insisted we go over it which I conceded to but still kept pushing me to sign it. After I firmly pushed back, he finally sent me the incomplete documents to review. After that, the phone calls became excessive. When I finally answered to let them know I was no longer interested, I politely asked to be removed from their call list. Instead of honoring that request, the representative repeatedly asked me if I owed money to the IRS—even after I asked him multiple times to stop and just remove me. It felt invasive, dismissive, and aggressive. This interaction made it clear to me that their main focus was not on helping clients, but on making a sale—at any cost. I would not recommend this company based on my experience.

BEWARE! Resolution fee is $5,000 or more. Not Transparent. A person in $18,000 in debt to pay them high service fee through a third party. You take out the loan through the third party and pay them. You owe LOAN NOW TO A THIRD PARTY PLUS INTEREST. Now you owe $30,000. NO CONTACT WITH IRS BUT YOU ARE OFFERED A PAYMENT PLAN.
