I have had several different case managers. None of them are consistent with their customer service. For the amount of money I'm being charged, they should be updating me on a regular basis! I have sent several emails with no replies. I just called and was left on hold until I was disconnected. Based on the initial conversations I had, and the amount of money they are charging me I really expect better service. This is a serious situation and I don't think they view it like that. The only consistent thing that occurs if they collect their payment every month! I would really appreciate it if they valued my business more!

Alleviate Tax should replace their 'What We Stand For and Service First, Service Always' disclaimer to 'Over Promise and Underdeliver.' Save yourself a lot of frustration, time, and of course money, and avoid this scam of a company. If you're dead set on hiring assistance, reach out to a local CPA or reputable firm. I unfortunately learned the hard way, and should have neglected to trust a company that doesn't list names and/or credentials of staff members on their website, let alone rates of any kind. Tax experts? What a farce. Their associates are glorified salesmen who prey on your fear of the IRS. I requested their help with a sub $10k debt, and had to wait 16 months for a resolution that resulted in me losing more money. You'll have no idea how your 4 figure assessment fee is allocated (that of course follows a $495 charge for your initial 20min call), and will be passed on from salesman to salesman throughout the process. All would promise lines of communication that were rarely or never on time. The customer service skills of their supervisors were abysmal, as several were unable to exercise any sort of discretion to a mismanaged client, notably Jay Garcia and Marcela Rodriges. Know that their offered programs are available via a quick Google search, or by contacting an IRS Taxpayer Advocate Service directly - FOR FREE.

The only thing I ever get from these people is when I call them you get put on hold and then they tell me we can't take your call right now call later it wouldn't be somebody that I could recommend

They charged me 10s of thousands of dollars up front and did nothing for almost a year. Was passed from one person to the next, given questionable advice like wait 10 years and the debt will go away. I asked several times for the recording of the hard sell to get us to sign, that I believe violates UDAAP (unfair deceptive practices). I was told they had a direct line to the irs (they do not), that they would immediatley put a hold on any paycheck garnishment/property seizure (they did not). The handler we got was the worst customer service person ever, she would send docs with no explanantion of what they were. They do not document anything they say on the phone so I started using email for a papertrail In then end I got zero relief from the IRS and because they dragged it out so long I ended up much more in interest/penalties if I had just set up a plan myself.

This company offered me my consult fee of 495.00 back in exchange for removing my negative review and because I refused to remove it, they said they would not offer me the refund of the fee. Integrity is lacking in this company and its a shame how much money they have gotten away with taking from people. all I can say is do your research and I will never work with them again.

Stay far away. They bombard you with calls and texts as soon as you contact them. I went over my situation with them & they said they would take my case. I had some questions about how they could help and how much it would cost. His answers were either vague or he would try to redirect the conversation. When I said that I had to get off of the phone he tried to pressure me into signing a power of attorney and making a payment. Finally I had to firmly say no and hang up the phone . After that the texts and calls were constant. The person handling the case actually texted me, "Why don't you want to better yourself". People who have good intentions don't harass and shame people.

This company is a scare tactic joke. Months past I told them I did not need their services random people would contact me and try to act like they were the sole savior to any tax issue you may be resolving. It was almost funny until it wasn’t. They will harass you until you fork over money, then they will try to shame you. Stay FAR FAR away from ALLEVIATE TAX. They are a money seeking joke. DO NOT TRUST THEM, SCAM.

This company lures you in, giving false promises of guidance and follow thru. Dealing with the IRS is frightening, and as a small inexperienced business owner, I was looking for a company that would help. After paying almost $10,000 for resolution and personal taxes, I was ignorned, case workers quit and I was never informed, had appointments that were not followed thru and worse of all, they applied high pressure tatics on me, a 78 year old women. I am not a happy customer and do no recommend this overpriced, company.
